Wichita Falls, TX - 1979 FJ40 - Mustard
Mud Family, This one pains me to write, but the time has come to pass Sunny on to a new caretaker. The wound is extra fresh since I just sold my 100 today as well, but life plans are dictating a change of investment. We are purchasing a truck and camper, plus the additional factor of a recent move where we downsized...no more 1200 sq ft shop for toys. I spent a LONG time searching for the best candidate possible, mechanically sound, good history, long time owners, etc... From that point I immediately went to work creating the vehicle that would be passed down to my kids one day. Spent close to 10 grand of refresh and thoughtful upgrades to make it a reliable 40 that I could drive from Texas to Colorado and not blink an eye. Goode's...
WA, Freeborn Red 1975 FJ40
My 40 is now live on BAT. It is a two plus year project of mine. Personally, I think it turned out great! ‘75 with 40 series discs up front. Electric PS. Desmogged 2F with a 12/78 production date. BAT follows their template for all their descriptive stuff, I added a more comprehensive list in the auction comments. Great truck for someone looking for a turn-key resto. 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1975-toyota-land-cruiser-fj40-25/ Here are a couple more photos.

‘77 fj40 oil disappearing. Help.
Today after checking the oil, the oil was barely on the dipstick. There are no drips on the concrete floor of the garage and has not been driven very long since previous oil change. There is some smoke on idle but seems to go away when driving. But we have not followed at night to see if there is a smoke trail. There seems to be a little bit of a fuel fume by the filler neck on the passenger side as well, I saw a previous thread asking if there was a fume or not. I have a picture where is seems there is some oil on the top of the motor but I am unfamiliar with the parts so that’s why I’m coming to the mud forum to learn and get some help. On the same side of the ending, there seems to be black residue on the fender wall. I will post...
1957 Toyota Landcruiser - For millionaires, I mean multi multi millionaires
Not mine 1 million DOLLARS https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/833743163902141/ ------------------------------------ https://barnfinds.com/extremely-rare-example-1957-toyota-land-cruiser/?utm_campaign=Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Newsletter+(Daily) It is a question that will always ignite spirited debate: Does the fact that a classic vehicle is rare necessarily mean that it can command a stratospheric value? That is what we need to consider with this 1957 Toyota Land Cruiser. These vehicles didn’t officially hit the American market until 1958, and even then, the sales total in that first year was precisely one. That means that this Cruiser must have been a private import. It is located in Auburn, California, and...

1972 FJ40 SoCal
1972 FJ40 Hello, and thanx for checking out our beloved Smurfette cruiser I have for sale. It’s been a labor of love building and putting this truck together, but I recently became a member of the 80 crowd and I just don’t have the time nor space it deserves. Here is a link to the build: Meat builds a 40 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/meat-builds-a-40.944527/ Full frame off restomod. Frame was blasted, boxed, and coated with POR 15. 5.3 Vortec sourced from Pacific Fabrication. Out of a 99 Silverado that had 79,000 miles on it. Showing just over 4,000 on the odometer. New engine harness, shallow oil pan, plugs, wires, and sensors. 4L60E transmission and Lokar shifter. Advance Adapters twin stick transfer case shifters. Griffin...
Built 80 for 40
Looking to trade my 80 for a 40 series. One owner. I’d drive it across the country tomorrow. I built this rig back in 2004. Never let me and my family down. Starts, runs and tracks well. Maintenance is up to date. I have two binders on the truck, every service invoice right back to the window sticker. It’s got 5 brand new 35” Goodyear mud terrains, OME lift with spacers up front for the square stance. Warn 12k winch with internal control buttons. Hella 1000 rally lights (vintage/working). Bullet proof pesky heater hose upgrade. CDL dash button. Built in sliding tool/gear drawers with walnut trim. A/C dryer protection plate, transfer case skid plate, rhino lined frame mounted sliders, tire swing rear bumper (IPOR). Fully armored...
$29,000 1977 FJ40 with PakiTop Great Condition
This was restored(non frame off) in 2008 and have only driven it less than 200 miles. It has a rebuilt engine with 10,000 miles on it. Purchased it in California. 90% original. Haven't driven it in rain or snow since I have owned it. The only issue is the back zipper won't close as I didn't close it during the winter and the canvas shrunk a little. Also, the interior passenger door handle needs to be replaced, but works fine.
