Spotted at Cameron Village. Sweet 55

This is the gentleman that lives off wade. He has two sweet 55's and has been in the scene for several years. I bought a 40 off him about 10 years ago. Great guy but stays to himself for the most part.

Spotted an electric blue FJ40 today in Denver with lift and what looked like a con-fer roof rack, down near 16&73. I was in my grey 62 and I waved at you like a retard. Also saw the same truck around 5:30 ish at Denver Heath and Fitness. I took a picture with this same 40 last summer before I added my roof rack. Sweet looking rig.

Spotted in my shop. Pretty nice FJ. The shop crew was installing a new windshield for it. :)

Bill Burke in CLT

Not a cruiser, but an off road legend or near-legend. Bill Burke was parked in Ballantyne around lunch time in his Renegade towing his D-90 in a trailer. See http://bb4wa.com/

I saw that rig yesterday turning off of 485 onto Providence Rd. I didn't know who it was or what they were carrying but I knew whoever it was must have some serious skills to be able to drive that thing around. I'd hate to have to back it up.

He is very good at his job. He has a class coming up here soon in URE teaching the I4WD instructors course i wanted to attend but the funds were just not there for this year. He goes all over the world though. I have been thru a few of his classes already and he knows his stuff.

It is not as difficult as it would appear. I have driven a rig almost exactly like that one on several occasions.

X2. I have a good friend who is a I4WD instructor (taught the Toyota FJ Cruiser Trail Teams) who has been through his classes and was mentored by Bill. I would love to take some of his classes. .... would have liked to talk to him, but by the time my employee told me he was there, he was pulling out.

Great guy. Took his class at uwharrie and had a blast. Very nice guy.

The funniest quote was him talking about spares and said, you need this, that, kept listing things out for the rover and then looked at the 80 series in front of everybody and said or just get a Toyota and don't worry about any of that.

Who drives the green 80 I see around the Providence/Rea intersection quite a bit? ARB front bumper, winch (I think), roof rack, lots of lights on top and front, rear swing out (I think) - or tire on top maybe. Looks like mine but clean and shiny.

Cruiser4Life,

I think I saw you heading south on 51 yesterday morning around Sardis Rd North. I was in the green 80 going north and flashed lights at the last minute. Tire on roof rack for sure.

Don't think it is. One his has SOA and two I believe it is in reconstruction mode behind closed doors at the moment. Looks nice though.

Admired this local 200 for a while now. Black with graphite wheels and no running boards. So nice and actually looks like a truck kinda. Saw they added a roof basket recently. Terrible pic but Sharp ride
