Bill Burke in Durham

Great guy. Took his class at uwharrie and had a blast. Very nice guy.

The funniest quote was him talking about spares and said, you need this, that, kept listing things out for the rover and then looked at the 80 series in front of everybody and said or just get a Toyota and don't worry about any of that.

Speaking of Rovers, Bill Burke will be at British 4x4's grand opening of their new location in Durham on March 22. Larry the owner said he'd love having some Toyota guys there.

That is my dads new 40, it must of been at John West, I recommend them for auto work, they have done great with my 60 and my dads 40...

SWEET! Y'all coming to the Barn this weekend? I'd have noticed your dad if I had looked beyond the truck - thinnest black Michelin Man I've ever seen. Specs on the 40?

Naw I wish we could make it but I have to finish my Eagle Scout Project this weekend, I'll make it to the next Wednesday night dinner though... 40 was owned by an Indian man who lived on a reserve in Idaho, he was the first owner, he died and the family let it sit for 10 years and ten decided to sell it, it is bone stock...

Ran into Bill Burke again this weekend along with Chris Cole , and Tim from Iron Pig. They were in URE Saturday. Chris is the president of the I4WD. Bill asked why I was not taking the instructor course so I guess I need to take his next one here. Bill's truck had a few more things in it from the last time I looked in it. Still very well set up. Ran into a couple guys from down under also with Bill.

Spotted right on the W side of the traffic circle in Carthage today. Anyone else see this?

I saw it on fri was going to leave a card on my way home. I passed him on the road today. Older guy driving

Meatball

Saw this in a driveway back in 5 points area in raleigh. I ran into the guy before and said he was wanting to sell 40...no idea how much or condition. If anyone is really interested I could get more info with a little digging... I also think I have an old email from the guy.

At any rate cool seeing two cruisers in the same driveway.

Sorry for double post, that is actually at a body shop off of Peace Street, my dad is wearing the puffy jacket.

Yeah it was at Auto Arts. He's done a lot of work for me and is fantastic. He also did John Stumbaugh's bumper and John really liked his work. Would love to check out the 40 sometime! Hope to see y'all at the next mtg.

Way nicer than the other 55

Here's a unique FJ45 a friend in Rutherfordton built several years back, pic is current. The frame and bed floor were rotten, so he built this rig. It has a 6.0 Vortec, TH400, 203/205 doubler, steering 2.5 ton Rockwells with 2" 47 spline shafts, 47" LTBs, coil-overs, etc. He used the original cab, front clip, roof, and bed sides.

Aaron's rig is intense. I love it. I liked the grey version of it too.

Winston Salem pull a part
What did you need and i may recall if it was there

Door latches and bench seat were best items left and a newish water pump

While heading to David's house on Saturday to install my winch (thanks Jason), I followed a reasonably nicely kitted Range Rover HSE through Fort Mill. (yet another terrible iPhone pic ...)

Spotted a well wrinkled red 80 on a trailer fueling up at the outpost Sunday am. Not a straight panel on it and still looked great. Another blue 80 with bead locks rolling into the main entrance when we left.

Any lurkers wanna claim them?
