^^^^ Good decision. The fobs are real nice. I have several and really like them. Excellent customer service to boot from @suprarx7nut

Finally got around to installing the yotaMD fob. Looks great, everything comes packaged well as a kit, extra bolts and nut plus extra shims pieces for the different types of cruiser keys.

I like that. Looks like the symbol God created as a promise not to destroy the world with water again. And the only thing that rainbow was created for.

I can attest these shims work great, in fact when I take the truck to the dealership the techs almost always comment on how nice the key is with the shim in it.

HOWEVER, I ordered a red one about a year ago and the paint has significantly scraped off of it.

So if you're going to order one don't pay extra for the paint.

Yup. The cerakote is strong, but still a coating. It's lifespan before chipping is very dependent on use. Loose keys on the same keychain can be rough. A solo key can last forever.

Looks like the shells aren't on the amazon AU store anymore, is that right? :(
No, I actually stopped stocking Amazon in the US and abroad. They've now lost three of my shipments within the Amazon warehouse and they take somewhere between 3 and 6 months to settle up. Customers on Amazon are also about 10 times more likely to return a product or outright steal it. So it just hasn't been the most lucrative sales channel, lol.

You can still buy it direct on the site and I ship internationally quickly.

I like that pink one!
Any chance you can make it a bit darker?
It's possible yes, but these all need to be batched to be profitable. Doing a one off color would cost something like $250+ extra to start up a tiny cerakote run.

So certainly possible! Perhaps not a great value, haha.

I knew the day was coming where our OEM keys would fall apart, so I've had a YotaMD key fob on hand for a few years..

Needed it the other day and it took about five minutes to assemble and is built perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

If your OEM key hasn't fallen apart yet, it just hasn't fallen apart... yet. But it will. Having one of these on hand is a headache saver.

New limited color set available now! Only 8 of these so I suspect these will be gone before Moab this week.

I believe I got an updated 3 piece key set (07LX) where the plastic is molded onto the blade. Should I take a sander to it to shave it down to the metal? It’s metal threads. Wondering how I should go about it

That's how they all are. You need to remove the key blade if it's not already cracked and falling out. My favorite method is pliers grabbing right near your thumb in that picture. Grab the "ear" of the key blade with the pliers and rotate the blade right out. You can also cut it out with diagonal pliers.

If it gives you any hassle, let me know. I've got a good little video clip somewhere on facebook I can link you too. I need to get that uploaded as a YouTube video to help folks make that a quick task.
