Was going to order 2 key fobs but missed the black friday sale. When is the next sale? Or any discount code for mudder. First time order. Thanks.
The black units are still discounted below normal and will probably stay that way for a while.

I'll also be running a special for the month of December. Announcement soon on that. It will not save you anything on the purchase, but I'm aiming to donate a set amount of proceeds per kit sold in December this year to a food bank, likely Feeding America. Hoping to settle on details and announce that tonight/tomorrow.

Heads up, doing a new thing this year. Buy a fob kit, feed some people. Hoping we can get a few thousand meals donated. I'll tally it up and announce the total throughout December as we go.

This is awesome. My wife and I have been talking about all the unprecendented demands at food pantries and recently made some donations. Way to go!

Man, you just made my day. Thanks for helping. There are way too many people that can't afford to feed their families this year, or any year for that matter.

Being hungry sucks! Especially for kids.

I already have one of these awesome cases, now my wife is going to get one for her GX for Christmas.

@suprarx7nut you are doing an awesome thing!

My wife used to teach in some rough areas outside Denver. Definitely heartbreaking to hear how many kids seemed to only get food at school. I can't even imagine...

This isn't much, but it's something. 2020 has been good to me so far (working from home, side gigs doing better every day, 2nd kiddo on the way) so I feel the need to do a little something extra to give back this season. Hopefully it motivates some folks to buy a kit or give back to their own communities some other way.

Cheers!

Hi... Sorry its a little off topic, but I didnt get any response yet... I was interested in the YotaMD Blue Switch mounting bracket, but wondered if it can be made to fit a HD #3003, Blue Seas switch... I would really like to have one made if possible... really like the location and mount design you have.
Please let me know if its feasible or not... thanks, and Good on the Food bank! Will order some more key cases~

Ah, sorry about that. I could probably modify it to work. That HD series is big. Costs would go up and the support arms would have to be altered. At a total guess, pricing would increase to around $100.

What's the motivation to use those HD series switches? I don't recall differences off hand, aside from size.

Motivation is to have a near hardwired amp rating for the winch. My 12,000 winch can draw 300-500 amps, and it having a wireless activation feature, I don’t want it hardwired to the battery and “always on”.
The Blue Seas switch is HD and rated for 600 continuous (standard is 300amp continuous) plus it has multiple inputs for future flexibility.
Maybe it’s overkill? This is my first winch, and want it done once, and done right.

Here's why I landed on the M-series.

Blue Sea m-series ratings:
Intermittent Rating (5 minutes): 500A
Cranking Rating (30 seconds): 900A

ComeUp Winch motor power: 3,730 W
My calculated current draw at 12V: 311 Amps

Come Ups battery requirement: 650 Cranking Amps

Warn 9.5 Amp Draw shows under 500A at max load. Figure the Warn 12.5 would be a bit higher.

I expect to winch for ~5-10 seconds at a time under load. Even 30 seconds seems extreme, so that's more the number I'm looking at for the switch.

Even if you were winching for 5 minutes straight at full load, the M series is rated for about what a winch would need.

Also note, these are rated currents. Not failure points. The switch is rated for less than the point at which it will fail.

That was my logic. Not sure how that compares to other folks that have much more experience putting them to use out in the wild. 🤷

Got mine today, thanks for the nice and useful product. One feedback, a sticker will go long way than a business card. Anyways I put it where it belongs at my place using a double side tape

That's good feedback. I need to see if I can get sticker pricing down closer to the business cards. I've got a bunch of awesome due cut vinyl stickers that I use for event giveaways. More than happy to give out to good that will use them!

Please shoot me a PM and I'll send a couple on the house!

Guilty.... guilty as charged for not actually putting this key fob together right.

i used this for a month (without that nut or brace in place) before realizing i put this together wrong.

Haha, lucky timing. Order came in as I was printing shipping labels for the day!
i just tried ordering from your site, from a computer or phone, getting certificate errors. Won’t let me check out. I get a forbidden error if I continue.

Yes, sorry. I JUST switched DNS over to a new host about 30 mins ago (shopify instead of dreamhost). We're in the awkward hour or two where the new SSL cert is pending. It should be listed as safe and secure in 90 minutes or less.

*Edit, looks like it's taking longer. They say up to 48 hours for the SSL certificate to populate, but in my experience it's been just a few hours. Please bare with me, it'll be back safe and secure soon!

I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong size key blank (x2) for the LX. Sent an email just now to the address listed on the website but figured I'd post here too.

Looking at the website when I ordered, I thought the long Lexus blank was the same length as my Toyota key and then there was a shorter version. So, I ordered the short. My bad. I didn't go back through this thread to see if I was the only one. I'm sure I am. Most people are way smarter than I.
