Tada....

I noted the installation video omitted the placement of the inside nut and the little metal posts however, I consider myself a bit of a puzzle solver so it was clear how those fit into the solution.
Thanks for a useful, well built item

Can’t say enough about these guys. I think I have the very early version of it and wanted to replace just the shell. Sent an email and they are giving me a great deal to replace the entire kit. Great company!

I finally ordered one. I knew it was only a matter of time before I broke my Lexus one

You'll love it. They are not inexpensive....but you'll never have to replace it.

Put a new battery in your remote while you're in there a (1616) I think, 2016 in some.

Whaa? those little metal posts are there for a reason? I have 3 of these so far and I have always wondered why they were in the packet. Sadly I have thrown them away because the install video says nothing about them

Same here. I thought the pin was for the straight blade without "wings".

The pins are intended only for the "i" blade with no wings. Some T blades are a weird dimension and will allow you to shove the key in there with the pins, but that's not an intended install method.

I need to make a new install video going over all the little tips and tricks.

So I just took mine apart to have a quick look, and I wanted to confirm. I will have to break the old key fob to get the key blade out correct? Both of mine are inside the plastic of the fob even though they do have the threaded blade

Correct. If your key blade is still intact, you will need to crack/tear the key blade out of the plastic case. Pliers or wire cutters work well.

Or just snap the thing in half with your fingers. It did not take much.

Eventually I will get a second one. My second key does not seem to work. I replaced the battery once and nothing so it stays in the safe. I use my master key for daily use. I had a crappy aftermarket key that I installed in the case along with the master fob. I hate carrying the master but like I say, the second fob just does not want to operate. Probably got wet at some point.
I would recommend getting two different colors so you can tell your master from your secondary.

Mine has been awesome! Just placed another order for my wife since she snapped her fob on the FJC today.

@suprarx7nut My battery died in my fob. I have no clue where the Allen key that came with my key is, and it's so tiny I haven't been able to find one at the hardware store to fit it.

Can you tell me what size Allen key I need to purchase to break into this vault you call a key fob shell?

Go to his site and purchase a replacement allen wrench. It comes with all new nuts and bolts. I put my original in a place I would not forget and i forgot.
