Thanks for all those MUD folks that take time to post and give directions !! My center diff lock was not working and light would not come on. After searching mud I found some great information and will post up my results consolidated in one post....

The best picture I could find of where this things location is Here (second photo in the thread.):
https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/center-differential-lock-transfer-indicator-switch-problem.498372/

The other great advise in another thread was it is located towards the front out put shaft at the 11 o clock position.

Wonderful...... Then found the Toyota part number which is: 84222-12010 switch transfer indicator (thanks Beno). But you can get the part at NAPA for less and most have had success. My napa could not cross walk this part, but here is the NAPA part number: NS6421 Neutral safety reverse light switch. Price for me was $28

Now if you have gorilla hands this job is going to be tough , but its is very simple once you locate the part and you can get a wrench on it. Took me 10 mins total time !!

Here is the result now.

Center diff is now locked !!!

With out this tool , I would have never been able to get on it.

My next project is coming in a few weeks so I thought I would take a few measurements. I park in a parking deck and I am always worried about how tall my truck is. I do have a lift and 33 inch tires and a Yakima rack on the factory rack.

Here are a few Pics.

and of factory:

and the front:

so with this set up I am a little under 4 1/2 inch from roof.

something showed up at the freight terminal.... install and notes to come...

yes .. Gamiviti Expo++, good eye sir... I am going to start with only 3 of the feet and see how that works / looks , but might add one. I do like the looks with 4.

LOok what the man in brown dropped by:

Ok so notes on the Gamiviti rack install.... It all started with these tools ....

20150418_102235.jpg

Things went well as I moved around the truck and pop off the rack covers... easy.. right.

20150418_102012.jpg

All seem so easy , first few bolts were tight but came lose ... no problem...

All corners off and the rack slide forward with a little push and bada bing...

But then....... things went down hill...

Now , I do leave my truck out side and dont park in the garage but when I pop the rack off the middle plastic holders where full of water.... rusty water..

20150418_103936.jpg

I soon could see the bolts were rusted behind the ability to unscrew them !!

20150418_104156.jpg

3 out of the four where completely rusted so bad there was no way to unscrew them... Off to home depo...

My tools went from simple to .........

Thanks goodness I was able to drill out and use an extractor to grap them and get them out.... 4 hours later.

20150418_104150.jpg

then time to clean up and actually get to install the rack....

Make sure that you seal the feet well as I've had to chase a leak at the "B" pillar first on the passenger side then on the drivers side. Symptom was wet seatbelt and odor.

Yuck! Yes, put some silicone on the screw threads. Keep using those rectangular shaped rubber feet, once you clean them up, you don't want metal on metal. If you lose one, then you can get neoprene fender washers at Home Depot. hth!

Also set the height of the rack using the front and rear set of towers only, bolt on the bottoms of the others to the roof but don't put the tops on. Once you get your height set, you can wiggle in the tops of the other towers then just bring them to the level of the rack, skip the little center screws just use the two big ones and you're good to go.

wish I knew that part early in the process ^^... but the rack is on... lots of adjustment and tinkering..

I also zip tied my fairing on there for now until I do something else. I am even able to pull into my garage. Now if the rain would just go away like to Cali !

Run it hard , put it away wet.... Cant say enough about my LC. @ 230k miles !

What the hell , I have a torn boot on the DS. DAM IFS.. anyway just wanted to vent .

Got my CV boot fixed , decided to just do one at a time as there seems to be no real reason to do both if one has not failed.

Also organized by roller drawer as I had forgotten what was even in there. Here is a quick run down of what junk I carry around.

What are your long term impressions of this snorkel? I'm wanting to buy one but the ARB is so expensive! Plus, we all know they are just for looks anyway...

I have been very happy with the snorkel, I would buy it again in a heart beat. I really like the fact it says land cruiser on it and is pre notched for the antenna. Plus I have two heads for it. All for less money then others...

get one and enjoy drilling that hole !

Well , it's all a go ! I will be headed out to Colorado for a little 3 week epic adventure starting July 8th and maybe even a HIH 2016. I will be bringing my two boys along and towing my RT10 offroad popup so camping should be easy.... The trip I have always been dreaming of.

Time to plan for some maintenance before the big trip... and maybe a few other items for fun..

Great my Die hard platinum main battery has decided to crap out after a little over 4 1/2 years... wonderful. The great thing is with the T-max dual battery system .. I press a little button and link the batteries to the AUX and bamm starts right up and I am back in business. Now time to start shopping , I think I will try SAMS club Durcel AGM.

I also had fun pulling my neighbors 2wd expedition out of their side yard... what a big pig and only 2wd.... stuck in grass :princess:

Sooo. I waited on battery replacement as my truck was starting and running fine the next day... Interesting... So a week later I go to start the truck and no go.. I try to link the dual battery system which is what I had done before and no go .... Damm. Thank goodness this is in my driveway and not else where remote...

So I start searching battery replacements and finally decide I cant just step out and get the one I want so I rush over to wally world and get something. Put it on the charger top it off and drop it in .... No go.. No noise all lights on , radio , everything works .. so I know battery is fine but no start.... can someone say Starter ?
