This is a great thread and a very nice build, but you are now in trouble... Everybody knows once you finish a build completely, you sell the vehicle and start all over again (with the same accessories on a different truck!).... DAMHIK !

I often dream of what a stock hundy newer year feels like , clean , quite , shake free... sometimes it feels like I am cheating on old Blue.. But then I remind myself why all the junk, rattles , pin strips, busted CVs and how far we have come. We have so many more places to go and see ...
Great build. I lived in Georgia during college (GO Tech!) and worked as a designer in Atlanta for a few years after school. Now I live in Colorado, both places are cool but I am here to stay.
I REALLY DIG THE BLUE 100, they are very rare, I think I've only ever seen 2 on the road. I like what you have done with yours. What kind of MPG decrease do you get with that popup? We hope to add one to our family next year.

We love Co. !! , we wanted to stay when we were out there last summer. When I am pulling the pop up in terms of MPG , I hardly notice any real diff. I almost never calculate my MPGs , it would be like putting salt in an opened wound. I always look at it as not too bad and really bad. I think I might lose more MPGs with the roof rack than pulling the pop up. We have really enjoyed having a pop up and the family experience it brings with it. I am always planning our next trip.
Did you go Harrop elocker? Interested to hear your feedback!

Well my tires were getting thin, but still had some miles left but were no longer capable offroading. I had sold the 18 inch tundra wheels & tires (loved the look) and decided to stick with the 16 inch a while back ... I think I re-read every 35 inch tire thread , every other tire thread on brands , tire choices , what tire should I run and what is the biggest tire with no lift... I guess I had nothing better to do then waste hours on mud reading about other folks tire issues or questions. Thanks MUD

Anyway I thought I would write a quick note on the long run I had with the Good Year Durtrac 285 / 75 / 16, these tires did very well for me and lasted 5 years and around 50,000 miles or so.. They balanced well , have good road manors and held up to light offroading, two cross country trips and a few more challenging runs. My truck is a DD and I make frequent trips towing a trailer so having the right mix is important. I never had any side wall issues with this tire and normally always air down when offroading. These tires cleaned out well in mud and provided great traction for what they are. These tires are a true 33 size and have great tread depth with low noise.. So its no surprise that I stuck with them and stayed with the 285 size. Now , I just need to get them dirty as clean tires on my truck look out of place.

I finally got around to my sleeping platform 2.0 for a solo trip with the Upstate Cruiser group. In my search for the easy to remove, low weight, low cost, can stay in the truck if needed, I put together a platform using left over wood I had in the garage. I have used it several times and really enjoying sleeping in the truck when solo...
It attaches with two turn buckles (solid), only has three legs and is supported by the wheel arch. The other thing I did was make it very tight to the back seat and slightly lower than the seat back folded (very very small gap). This keeps my feet lower than my head, but I also bring along RV level blocks to help level out. I also put pipe insulation between the seat and the back edge to keep it from grabbing the seat back when folding the seats forward and also helps fill in any gaps. Its rock solid and makes no noise when riding all day. The 60 / 40 split seat makes this such a big difference as there is plenty of room for one.

I have to tip my hat to the Upstate Cruisers for putting on a great run with OTMT !! Great group of guys and wow the food was unbelievable ! These guys know how to do it up and welcome folks.
The ride in was rocky and very tight , I have lots of new pin stripes and wish I had thought to fold my side mirrors in sooner..

Then after OTMT the wife wanted to head to the beach so off we went....

After lots of hot, sunny, wet, sand and dirt my driver seat started to split at the seam closest to the door, from sliding in and out I guess. Not too bad as I never really did that much to condition them. I decided it was time for some seat covers before the seat really begins to give way... I looked at most options accept a full leather replacement as I felt I did not need this. I picked the Wet Okole seat covers for a custom no slip install and feel. So far I really like them and the little bit of extra padding they have. I went with the two tone light grey and really like the new look inside. Its funny how something so simple makes a 18 year old truck new again.
Installation was easy except for the arm rests and head rests, PITA.. but nice fit and finish.
Now my kids want me to do the middle seat, they feel left out... lol

Did a quick explore after some snow in an area that used to be a test site for nuclear jet engines.. Still some old buildings and this time of year more of it open for exploring....
