Start checking the relays in the engine compartment for rust/corrosion on the terminal ends.

Yeap , did that , replaced fuse anyway..still no start .. I have had that other starting problem already and it was the fuse that sounds diff.... I think my time is just up on about every item I have not done yet.. I think its time to have help going over where I am and what I need replaced before my epic Colorado adventure this summer...

Figure out why it wouldn't start?

Yeap, I towed it over to ACC and they put a new starter in it and I went ahead and had my T's replaced with copper ones at the same time. All done and back on the road. They gave me a good health check up ! I am hoping now I can save up for the install of my locker I bought a year ago.....

Well , here is my next upgrade ! I have been wanting one of these so I can start doing more clean up when I am out on trails and exploring. I can't believe how many people just leave trash out and about !

I am very impressed with its size and build quality !! I think everyone should own a Trasharoo. Get one !

I also finally got my Fj40 body on my little RC crawler.... wish I could get a real Fj40...

I am looking at options to redo my hood in monsterliner.... the plastie dip in a can after three years looks like crap.

Went exploring and put in my light removable sleeping platform that I made a few year back... It needed no adjustment to speak of to fit in with the 60qt edge star frig. All system check !

I love this truck !!

So I had a little bit of time this Sunday and my parts finally came in. I ordered some cheap water proof connectors and some
mini LED lights for a lighting project that I am going to do in the inside back of the truck. But for this day I decided after several years
why not go ahead and use these connectors and hook up the ARB bumper lights directly to the factory fog light switch. I started by cutting the
factory connectors off and wiring and heat wrapping the connections to the new connector. Then I cut and wired the ARB light into the other end of the water proof connector. That was easy, I was impressed with the ARB housing nice seal in the light. Then on the other side and .... well like all my projects the other side had water in it, seal was busted and was rusted to hell and back... I tested it anyway and it did not work.. So I went to plan "B" I figured you can never have too many LED lights.. So I carefully removed the ARB light and backing and drilled out the lens for two LED water proof lights. I created a harness and wired them in, I think they kind of update the old bumper's look. They seem to give off a good bit of light and might be very useful when I am trailing someone on the trail and cant run the big LED light. Just with these two small LED lights they might be two bright to run at night on the road with traffic.

GSMTR is coming soon ..... I wish the Hundy didn't look so dam good on 35s.... makes me want to make the jump..

Well , I finally got around to adding some side lighting in the inside rear of the truck on a switch. I have always felt not having control of the dome light and it being so far to reach up to was a pain in the butt. It either stays on way to long or not long enough mainly attracting bugs. I used two water prof LED lights from a pack and wired them into a switch. I also already had a fuse panel in the back from the dual battery set up. So I drilled a few holes and spliced everything together. I put the switch just inside the door where it can be reached but was out of the way so it cant get banged with loading crap.

another mod off my list..... I am hoping that the back light shines light behind the frig and the upper lights shines in the frig with the lid open.

That looks good. Would you mind sharing what kind of LED is that? Where did you purchase them from?

I got there Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday. The truck did pretty good , we got a bunch of heavy rain on Friday night which made the trails really slick. I ran a few blues but then had my butt sliding out from under me ... and after that stuck to the easy trails which were more sight seeing but still fun. We all need to plan a 100s round up !

Rig looks good man! I can't attend the 100s round up, LOL.

I have an 80 and a 40...

I dont think I would be up for limiting it to only 100s.... but would be to land cruisers only. : - )

Was googling for GSMTR 2016 pics and ran across some of your pics from Saturday, I assume after you split off from the group. I'm the owner of the red 1st gen 4Runner, my brother was in the white Land Rover. Love your truck, you got me scouring craigslist for a 100 series again. I used to own a 2002 LX470, all stock, but we traded it in. Kinda wish I had kept it, I never offroaded it since I had the 4Runner I never really even considered it. But seeing nicely built 100s like yours really hit me with a bug. Haven't read your whole build thread yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Post up some pics of that trip out west when you do it, I'd LOVE to take my boys on something like that one day. Not in the 4Runner though, too far for the comfort level of the 4Runner.

Thanks ! I really enjoyed getting to meet you and your family. I wish I could of met back up with you on the trail I wanted to see more action of your truck and the BJ73. I could hear you guys on the CB at one point while I was on the top. I really like your 1st gen, 4 runner and it was quite a drive for you !! I think I heard 14hrs.... Lets do it again !
