God no. I cook from my own head and I primarily measure by eye. That way of cooking your linking to me IS OCD in its finest.
Of course! I worked in a kitchen where the chef was like that. I didn’t last long. Hahaha

I much prefer my cooking to many restaurants.

I hate the tent dismantling day. At least I have it down to a system. 30 mins start to finish on my own.

Wet heavy 2-3” snow so far just as I figured for CT. Why not fill a bucket of warm water, few drips of dawn and vinager and give her a scrub.
Also setup a free metal gun cabinet as next best winter storage to a freezer (nearly impossible to buy right now, plus this uses no electricity) for unused bee frames.

Darn winter. Next week it’s supposed to be in the 60’s.

Adding oil, shot a couple squirts of oil in the plug holes, readded plugs, wires attached, installed very faaaaancy oil filter I was gifted awhile back, lock nuts on the bolts I replaced to hold rear axle brake line, negative ground to idler lock plate abs bolt, fresh grease to rear drive shaft and installed.... sun is going low abd the temp is dropping fast to be on cardboard on the ground even in my wool. F-ing winter!

Oh and Happy Halloween!

3 gallons coolant, few drops from somewhere near the passsenger firewall but couldn’t located it on inspection underneath. Had spotted it, maybe a tablespoon on the cardboard below after adding. Obviously will be on lookout.

Laying under the truck looking around I can’t help but feel proud... looks so damn nice and it’s all by my little ol’ wee girly hands. :)

38° and I’m cold to the bone!

It was tho a very beautiful day w/ the sun sparkling on the snow and melting it off the trees and such. Big blobs constantly falling down all around me. I honestly love that aspect of winter. My friends uncle us an artist and she sent me that photo of one of his installations in her yard w/ rime ice along the edges. Closest we have to ut here in CT. Typically best seen up on Mount Washington in NH.

She’s gotta brake pedal!!! Rob, my local powder coat-brake pedal-slave talked me through while I did all the bleeder work. All my hand made lines are holding!!!!

Oh and yeah big whoop, front top crossmember installed and no more canoe oar to prop up the hood. :)

And now it’s pouring rain. Ugh.

Oh and ofcourse she had to toss me a snag, the bitch, I was rolling down the window so I could hear Rob and the front passenger regulator decided to loosen its grip on the glass! Bloop, now a tongue depressor is wedged in to hold the glass up. Hahaha!

It should fix fine... that rubber grippy thing was a sweet in great shape gift from Jimmy, @CenTXFJ60 way back. Regulator rolled good.

My drivers side is doing that. I don’t want to spend money on all the rubber... so I’m procrastinating until I can no longer find the parts and I have to do serious investigative work just to find aftermarket parts that might get things to work semi decently. :worms:

Are they worth using? I know OEM is still available for the regulator. What about all the rubber and felt runners? Any tips on where to source that stuff?

Is yours truely sliding out of the rubber that the glass sits pinched in or the rubbers along the inside verticles of the doors?

Pretty sure window sweeps/felts are still avail. Mine are ugly too. Some have found other like products that work too. I can recall a number of threads I might have saved.

The housing on the regulator gets wallowed out where the window crank turns. If that's the case it makes it hard to roll up or down the window. My driver side reg was worn out. The passenger side was worn, but a little grease made it good as new. PM me if anyone needs a new driver side reg real cheap. I got one. (Didn't get it sent back in time for credit)

Better a tongue depressor than the actual tongue 😆

^^^ This is what I’m dealing with. I have to use one hand to turn the crank and the other to help lift the glass. I figured I would replace all the rubber while I was in there. But maybe I just need to put a new regulator in there.

Hell of a weekend to work on the truck.
I did the same and thought I might be the smartest person on the planet. Drove the truck for a half hour so the engine would warm up the garage (new Idea to me after moving from Texas)
Turns out I’m not smart, took 4 times as long as expected and froze my a$$ off.
Aside from that, your right. It’s a beautiful time of year up here.
