I think Toyota should fix the manuals and re-print a set
how could they @_@

 :hillbilly:
And send me a new improved version for my year.

Throwout and it’s new bearing are now close friends.

Really red? 🤮lol
She’s not bad! She’s unique like her wrench monkey. Loud and clear, she’s been f’d with, no getting around it but it’s on the drivers terms. Haha!

Flywheel is tight. Got lucky and had a perfect stretch of metal w/ a hole perfect for hooking over the alignment dowel and wedged it against the dolly to keep it from turning while I torqued.

Then the clutch disc and it’s cover. That was a joy. Engine is held up by sections of wood under the edge of the BH on top of a dolly. I initially couldn’t fit the cover under so I just started tapping the wood pieces forward till I could wedge of cover under the BH edge and over the disc. And then getting the cover to the right places for the dowels and get a few bolts in place?! Dang, I ended up laying on my back holding it w/ my left as I turned it w/ my right. I’ll feel that tmrw in my arm!

But it’s on.

That second to last picture seems funny.
Seems?! It’s absurd. Grease on my lips from holding my flashlight cuz my headlamp is who knows where. See me in 10 years when I’ve got cancer from ingesting all the grease and grim!

The moon was laughing at me the whole time I struggled and not once did she offer a hand.

If I was in the carport at night like that I wouldn't be able to see the moon for the mosquitoes.
Damn good job, damn good. That clutch and flywheel are heavy to work with too. You should be proud of yourself. We are all proud of you.
Droughts are good for one thing... no little puddles for mosquitoes to grow in. Barely had much rain... few storms the last week or so but really not much since early July.
me had the largesthail I’d ever saw midweek. Was exhilaratingly fun!

And thank you for the compliments, they mean a lot!

Thanks... until I realized I had a bag of two thick washers labeled, ‘driveshaft flange washers.’ Haha! All fixed.

That is some hail! We're getting leftover hurricane rain here. Lots of wind and rain but no hail. That hail is tough on the plants, but won't do jack shizzle to your Land Cruiser, at least I hope not. So, when you going to get all that hard work mounted back in that big brown tractor?

Maybe the next couple weeks or at least w/in the month of Sept. I’m off next weekend and have the last two weekends off as well. Still gotta get the fuel lines installed as well as a couple brake lines. It’s coming along!

My pumpkin vines took a good beating as well (they’re not producing anyhow, too much shade) and on the Mazda window whatever they’re called. And the Tacoma took a number of dents to its roof.

Well they are now one. Wasn’t too tough. Hardest part was maneuvering that fing beast of a hoist.
