Going to see the machinist I used for the top end now. Honestly over the phone he gave me the old school response... ‘if it’s not detectable by your finger nail and the block is smooth you can probably file that out.’ 100 degrees w/ some disgusting humidity level and last thing I want to do is drive 20+ minutes one way but I know he knows FAR better than me and I’d rather his eye and hands be on it before I make some cheap decision.
Got this thing up and running too. It works well other than if I give it too much pressure it looses steam... 120v and garage is 110v so I understand. Trimming a washer for grabbing the lip of the bearing to help aid in pushing them out.
Number 2 block bearing space... smooth and oil transfer hole visible.
