Thinking about buying one of these to aid in backing up and not hitting anything. Anyone point the camera over the rear bumper/swing-outs? What does that look like?

As a heads up - mount adaptors for the Wolfbox G900 are now available! Courtesy of @cbbr shipping me his G900 so I could measure it & perform fitchecks:

I'm also doing a bulk order of the #129 mounts, so in the future folks will be able to order it through me (with the correct adaptor plate!) rather than the slow boat from China.

Interesting product and I see the value. I personally was not a fan after I installed mine. The requirement to refocus your eyes on a different distance was very jarring to me. When you're looking up the road and glance at a rear view mirror, your eyes don't have to change focus depth. You're still looking at a distance equal to the one forward. When you switch to these LED screens, you now have to focus from great distance to 18" in order for your eyes to register what's happening behind you.

For some people this may be fine, but I lasted about a month before I went back to a normal rearview mirror. I just couldn't get used to it.

I feel you. Im just hoping I get used to it. I also hate the fact that we’re disabling the auto dimming side mirrors with the removal of the oem mirror. I also really don't want to deal with fishing the cable through the headliner to put back the old mirror.

TBH the Wolfbox is great - especially when you cannot see jack sh*t out of your back window because of the spare tire and other accessories. I got used to it rather immediately. I have another tiny jailhouse mirror attached to my dash area so I can take quick peeks of my kid sitting in the back.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but I recently noticed an ad for the Wolfbox G900. It has a 3rd cam for the bumper which I’d repurpose as a trail cam. I’d always wanted a trail cam for technical terrain and came up empty after looking to relocate the integrated front cam under my bumper. The front cam is attached to the mirror’s circuit board by a ribbon cable and that didn’t seem to be extendable.

Unfortunately the cost of the G900 is a multiple of the older models.

I want 2 things out of mine (still in the box...) 1) to be able to see behind the truck because I have drawers/fridge/junk that blocks the view and 2) dashcams. It's not a cheap mirror, but also not a very expensive dashcam.
