No comment other than to say this:

I was once made aware that a debtor was filing bankruptcy - I was owed a fair amount of back wages. I had to actively seek out the case and contact the trustee to become a party to the proceedings. In other words if I didn’t go through the rigamarole to sign on legally as a creditor, I wasn’t going to be part of any potential distribution. I ended up getting nothing anyway - the trustee distributed $13000 of assets amongst huge banks that were owed about $750,000. They couldn’t be arsed to pay me - a real live human who didn’t have the ability write off debt as easily as say, Wells Fargo - the $3500 I was owed. Obviously this case is not at that stage and is far different, but I believe it’s a commonality in bankruptcy cases, both 7 & 11, that the onus is on the creditor to avail themselves of the opportunity.

I knew that when he stated he was sending out 241 packages a day, it was too good to be true, and ponzi scheme was about to fall apart. Safe to say, all outstanding orders are not likely to get fulfilled.

I understood your intent.

(PS, hope you're well!)
I’m doing well, I hope you are too!

I’ve been waiting to see what the talk was about. I hope everyone gets paid. I’m glad to see some action has been taken, no one deserves to be screwed out of hard earn money.

Had he played his cards right, he probably could be at that kind of sales volume. Good customer service, inventory on the shelf and adequate manpower. He had the right products to get there but something went wrong somewhere along the way.

Could have.

Or at minimum handed over the business for his indebtedness, unfulfilled orders, deposits etc. to a Capable entity in exchange for making things right financially with everyone involved so they could have continued the proprietary products, etc. after settlement.

Dang. This sucks. Joey designed some cool Landcruiser parts. Hope someone picks up the designs. Wish I had got the 60 and 80 mirror arms while I had the chance.
I'm sure he'd still take your money...

He still hasn't responded to this thread or social media as far as I've seen. I was just responding to this quote. However, before when he was on mud and social all the time it wasn't very out of character for Joey to blame anyone other than himself (supply chain, "problem customers", etc.).
don't forget the weather and the credit card mix-up..

I knew the MF was the narcissist type after he sent me the wrong part, refused to make it right and told me to live with it. I was out ~$100, cut my losses and refused to do any further business with the MF. All this over ~$100 part means buyer beware for higher $ items.

Sooner or later the MF will get what the MF deserves....

Hey all,

I'm in Norway and ordered a bush pressing kit and axle seal driver 12th September, does his bankruptcy filing now mean I've got no chance of disputing the $380 on my credit card?

Earlier in this thread was a discussion about Joey Romero at Wits End not paying for manufactured Bushing Seal Kits from a vendor. My guess is you will never get what you ordered. If possible, you need to dispute the charge now. Do not wait and let your rights expire. I have no idea what your rights are in Norway.

I would dispute it. CC's are pretty good about this stuff. If I recall he doesnt have any bushing press kits and the original maker of them sold the others.

Hey,

Thanks for the replies! I'm bummed I won't get my bush pressing kit!

The machinist who made the press kits had them on a shelf and was selling them direct. Joey had payment issues and he was doing cash up front before shipment for Joey. I guess he never payed for them, so, the machinist was trying to get his money back out of them. He may still have some for sale, if you want to go that route.

Edit: Page 12 of this thread, top. All kits sold and shipped from Trail Taylor. That route to a press kit is closed.

I've looked at this and after reading the demand and the pure BS............ I'm going to make another run and offer to the LC community.

Everyone that has bought from me gets their parts.

I still can’t believe he hasn’t been criminally prosecuted by a local DA??? How is this not multiple felonies, mail fraud, credit card fraud, etc???

I personally would find it funny (aka karmic) if someone took every single part Wits End made copied them and then sold them under a new brand. Taking payment and delivering the product.

Obviously the demand for the parts is there…

Sorry to hear this business has taken a turn for the worse. Hope somebody takes the reins and makes it a proper business again. I have benifitted from his parts and services over the years.
