It seems the spare is blocking both the license plate and the taillight on whichever side its installed. I feel like that presents a safety issue when it comes to braking and other drivers reacting.

Cant have it both ways. It either blocks the plate or it obscures the taillight a little. The plate issue, in my mind, is moot since I have an option for it. Moving the tire more inward lessens the potential for options on the tire's opposite side. Where it is not is best for the masses, and since I will absolutely, positively NOT be making custom units, I gotta go with what fits better for the masses ;)

Some updated notes/FAQs:

Nutserts or accessory mounting options?
Yes, some of the stainless nutserts will be for mounting specific product options, some will be for adding customer selected mods. I will be determining where the product option ones will go first then figure out other areas that make sense to throw in.

Does that mean I need a nutsert install tool?
No, they will be preinstalled. Unless you plan on adding more :P

Are you going to add some crazy massive logo cutout?
Branding this has been heavily on my mind. I would love an emboss type logo with two eyelets for conical type machine screws. But I know the CNC machining for that would just be cost prohibitive. I could just laser etch the spindle cap. I could just use the same data plate I have been using. No idea yet but it WILL NOT be big and goofy looking. Prefer understated.

What about antenna mounting?
I will indeed have an antenna mount, or two, built in. I would love to hear feedback about mounting base options. Or just a tab and a hole?

Which cans will the carrier support?
It will fit the two most common in this country (Scepter and NATO). It will be a dual can holder with no plans for a 3 can.
- For sizing I will be sure to over-pressurize both cans when measuring because in the summer heat the cans expand and makes it damn near impossible to remove when its a tight fit.
- Needs at least a basic way to lock in the can and prevent unwanted siphoning, I need to think more on this.

Which Yeti will you be making a basket for?
For the Yeti- these are crazy $$$ so I only want to design for the most common size (not plural). For those actually interested in this, what size do you recommend?

How will the license plate mount on the tire?
The license bracket will just be an S shaped piece of aluminum with two ears for mounting onto 2 of the 3 wheel studs on the tire mount. So I need to be sure that 2 of the 3 studs are perfectly horizontal to each other ;)

45 Qt RTIC are selling for $130 shipped on Ebay, performs the same as Yeti but missing the Badge and Prestige

Needs wiring movable wiring for LED License Light too

This is something quick. I modified something I already had. Zero clue where it came from but its going to be my starting point. I have a few little things I'm thinking of. I am looking at standard motorcycle bolt lights, nothing fancy. Everything else just looks like a big gnarly pimple. Wiring will have a disconnect for when you need to remove the plate to get to the tire. I considered a quick disconnect for the plate but talked myself out of it. I considered a backup camera but it would need a disconnect and all the ones I see are hardwired with a long loop. I thought about reverse light/work light so I'll work in some mounting holes for the common stuff. GoPro mount will fit on top with no issue.

Thoughts?

For antenna mounting options I would include 2, as both CB and HAM antennas are used a lot, and you need 2 antennas if you run both.

I can't believe I'm typing this but it's another rain out for product development so I'm stuck at my desk again. Picked up a backup light, back up camera and two types of license plates light.

Man I'd love to just make ONE bulkhead connector and call it a day. But then it's $$

Looks like the one I have on my first gen Slee bumper, but it was galv. BTW, there is a camera with a backup sensor and buzzer.

that plate maybe be sold separately if I wanted to get all fancy with my license plate mounting? :-)
if I could find a passthru for my 4 way trailer plug, I could make a simple removable harness to light it up.........

Yeah the design is super basic so I will be adding some features to it to make it a little more useful. I've had this thing since before I even got my IPOR. No matter, It'll be betterer :P

Looking forward to seeing this. Getting close to taking orders?

Kinda close. I'll feel better once the Battery Discoonects and OBA Air Tank shelves are shipping. Most of the questions have been answered so I'm just detailing the little stuff now.

I know this is a long way down the road but what do you imagine shipping cost to be on this. (to the mid Atlantic)

Edited for terrible spelling.

Zero clue right now. I'll need to determine how much the actual packaging is going to cost since I'm sure all of my typical $1 boxes aren't gonna work for this :P

I think most shipments in the lower 48 ran somewhere around $150ish but I'll know more once I have final shipping dimensions and weight.

I know it's not 100% possible for you to say, but do you foresee any potential issues with hitch mounted swing away bike carriers (like yakima SwingDaddy or Thule Vertex.) In my head I'm picturing enough space for both of them but just wanted to be sure.
