Thank you @thebigredrocker, not only will this help me it will help others as well. Thank you man! I will post pics when I get it welded up, should get it tacked in place today.

Hey guys, nice to see some of you measuring the door openings and spans between certain areas. My '75 needs the quarter corners and sill cover. I'm gonna also do similar measuring for my lower A-pillars/door openings. Since I've owned this truck there is a ripple on the lower middle of each of the pillar channels. I think the door openings are true, but I want to make sure- and fix the ripples if I can. They have always bugged me if I look at them. I'll try to get some photos up soon.

Good deal! @thebigredrocker as already posted some measurements that I have wrong, I hope I don't have to cut those corners out!

Edited to include these pics I'll get some measurements to show where to place the corners, to get the sill sealing lip and the corner channel sealing lips to match up.

I had to cut them back out from where I had welded them in before. I'd just tack them to the square tube and fit to the sill. keeping in mind the mounting holes for the body mounts have to line up with the chassis.

But there is always the Blue Point Wrench!

Well a lot has happened since I last posted. I finished building the tranny in my bike and the same night, or early the next morning crashed it. Good thing is the wife or I didn't get hurt bad, her leg got banged up and her neck is really sore. Think I busted a rib or 2, thank god it wasn't any worse. Any way on with the show, here's some more measurements.

I'm measuring off the front inside top corner of the wheel well, and its not going to be exact as there's a 1/8" plate welded to the top. This is where I ended up putting the corner channel, its fudged a little forward but the tubing around the top edge of the tub will dictate where its got to go.

Its right at 36 1/2" from that corner to the edge that's tacked to the wheel well.

Be careful when you trim the floor pan try to cut it as long as possible to be sure the cover will over lap the edge of the pan. I almost cut the rear edge to short. When you trim the sill cover you will most likely have to cut a little off both ends so it will fit the sill with out having a gap on either end.

Once you get it fitted all the holes will line up. I might have to get a later spare carrier or redo the holes, I didn't have the hook or the plate that the carrier bolts to

till I had already welded in the sill. Some thing else to think about BEFORE you weld it in!

Glad to hear you or wife are not hurt bad but it does suck that you crashed. But the cruiser is looking good.

Here's one from the bend of the rear bed to the sill. With a truck that will have to have most everything replaced make sure you measure everything before you start.

Oh, and I did cut the front to short and had to add a cap to cover it. I'll post up the thickness of the gasket between the tub and the sides probably tom. along with the nut plates. That will tell you about where the hinges should go on the tub.

Hopefully all this will help someone and it will be in one place.

Thanks man, yea it wasn't to bad. We were going slow pulling into a gas station and nailed a curb about a foot high, couldn't see it. Knocked the off the left forward control and my apes look like Godzilla used them for a toothpick.

Gasket that goes between the tub and the top sides, shows to be .115 thick not compressed. Not very thick.

Oh yea, buy 2. I thought both sides came in one package...not!

Just for sh!ts and giggles, here's how I go about plugging holes I made getting the wheel well supports out. Whittle out a round plug, small enough to get a small gap around it when its in the hole. Tack it to a piece of scrap so you can hang on to it while you tack in place. Make sure its not protruding above the surface on the inside, weld it up on the back side. Remember every hole you make is one more you have to fill. I know this whole thread is pretty redundant for all the old timers that have done all this before.
