Hey folks! One of my friends found an FJ60 left to rot in the field. Then he found the owner of the vehicle and bought from him. He made the necessary repair and restoration and put it in his garage ad i bought it from him. When we first found the vehicle , it had a custom body kit. But we dont know who did this. We dont know who he is but he did a really good job. I opened a new insta page for my vehicle and there weretoo many questions about the body kit on it . That made me think of producing and selling the kit. I want to share with you guys and get your ideas. Do you think it is worth producing? Before i forget, who wonder about the vehicle's specs ; 1984 Fj60 2f engine on it. 5 speed manual. Power steering. 5.29 nitro gear. 35 bf goodrich km3's. A/C.

how is the kit constructed and attached to the truck? I

nice find.

looks like some of the rigs out of Iceland.

The kit is made of fiberglass and attached on the vehicle with a rivet. Then putty is applied to the joints and painted.

@Onat, side view mirrors are super cool, too. Any idea what they came off of?

those look like the 60 fender mounted mirrors found on Japan rigs, mounted on the doors.

in a constructive sense I'll respond that I don't care for the look of the kit at all... who knows though, may be many that like it

I don't care for it at all. The only thing it accomplishes is it makes it more difficult to get through tighter trails. And with the fiberglass, it now becomes an on-road only rig. No thanks.

i guess the purpose would be to put wider tires on right? it does look like the ones in iceland. while i think they look cool with the right tires it wouldn’t be something i would consider as i don’t need monster tires for the driving i do

I think it looks cool but TBH I wouldn't do that to my truck. Its what I might expect from a desert race truck but in that case I'd also expect a v8, coil suspension and a whole lot of other stuff.

I suspect you would sell a few kits if your reproduced it and the price wasn't too high but I don't think you would sell enough to enjoy early retirement

I think it looks awesome. I would love to put that on my 62. And then maybe make it into like a Baja support / track pre runner Truck with a nice Toyota or Lexus v8 and tuff 200 or 100 series suspension.

There has been enough feedback for me. Good comments came from both here and from Instagram. We decided to produce, I inform you about the developments :)

I find the trick is to tell people to put a deposit down. That usually weeds out the serious from the ones who just got excited.

I think it would look pretty cool on a 60 with 80 series axles. Don't love the fiber glass though.
