Hello all.
Im in the process of restoring my HJ61 and looking for the usual body parts rust free.
There are chinese manufacturers that produce new parts like hoods, doors, lift gates, and other panels. They have minimum order quantity of 10 for each part.
Looking to start a group buy .
Anyone interested. will post some prices later.

My concern would be how thick the sheet metal is. If it's thinner than the factory sheet metal then I'd be much more comfortable getting a repairable OEM panel (like I'm looking for to replace my front left fender).

IF these panels are good quality and match the OEM sheet metal, I'd be interested in seeing what price points we're looking at.

I've toured a few of these stamp factories in China. Typically the form and fit is off a bit and requires a bit of finesse. An OEM spot weld placement isn't in the repo or a bracket omitted, which made the OEM a bit stronger. Typically the gauge of material isn't a one for one match either. They are doing amazing stuff and pouring a lot of capital dollars into supporting the cruiser community. The Chinese panels have their place for a rig that isn't going to be fully restored and an owner with a bit of metal fabrication experience, but I have yet to find a company that I would represent in the US. Also keep in mind you are looking at a 45% tarriff rate at the moment, 20% because it's China and 25% because it's a metal part.

My $0.02 FWIW.
