The underside is what I'm looking for, sorry about that.

You rock man,

Thanks!

So if you remove the plate you can see the tabs that are welded in to mount it to.

Cool beans...

I was almost set on a set of Slees just because I have family in CO but might just look into a naked set of WNORs.

Exactly. Tabs visible with plate removed. If you went no top plate I bet it would be clean tubing all around.

That's not listed on his website, could you get a set with upward angle that just sat straight out?

FWIW you could sell me yours and get you a new set. Lol...

What the underside look like of the slider with the full top plate?
It is completely touching the rail all the way around the perimeter? And coated also?

Sorry for the late reply. I don't have much time for mud these days.

When you order they come with the upturn automatically. I had an email from wnor asking if I wanted the 15* standard upturn or the 0* version. At the time I thought I wanted that extra inch of clearance more.

I appreciate the offer, but my time available to prime, paint and install a new set definitely isn't there now. I haven't even found the time to do some needed maintenance like ball joints, tie rods and wheel bearings.

The plate is one piece and does touch the tube all of the way around. I painted my plates top and bottom the same way as I coated my sliders. Industrial enamel primer and rattle can bedliner top coat. It's easy to touch up after hitting things and doesn't scuff off with normal daily use.

About the comment of going without the plates, the sets without plates don't have the mounting tabs welded on they are just smooth tube. Imho a set with the tabs and no plates would look very off, the tabs are easily noticeable without the plate there to cover them up.

I was under the impression that these sliders would work with the Toyota front mudflaps, but it looks like there will have to be significant trimming of the mudflap to accomplish this.

My wife hates the LX stock running boards (compared to our 4Runner), do these White-Knuckle pop out more/give a wider stepping area compared to stock?

Mine are angled up (standard) and the give a smaller stepping area than stock. Basically you are stepping onto the tube, and it is closer to the body. They also offer flat (optional) which would create a conventional flat step.

Thanks @tedzap , I guess i'll eventually find someone local or at a meet that has these sliders or SleeSteps that she can try out and see how my wife likes them.

Yup less than stock, but enough I think. I'm in San Diego if you are ever this way. I have the standard (angled up) ones too with the rear diamond plate. Love them! John @ WKOR is great to work with.

Thanks for the offer! If i'm headed that way, i'll PM you days in advance!

Just finished painting mine, might put them on tonight. Just wanted to say, I needed to get them on a deadline, since I am having surgery next week. After surgery, I will be off lifting stuff for a while. I explained and asked John if he could expedite, and he was happy to accommodate me. Great guy, super fast work, high quality product with beautiful welding. Looking forward to scraping some paint off of them, will post pictures when they are on.

My WKOR sliders were delivered today. I got the DOM, full diamond plate, powder coated with the 10 degree angle (step). Waiting for my V2 lights to come in before installing them. The manual says if you have AHC that you might have to bend the hard brake lines to clear the bolt. Are they bendable by hand or do I use a tool to do it? Any reply will be appreciated.

They will bend enough by hand, you just have to pop them out of the plastic retaining clips that hold them to the frame. Put a little piece of vacuum tubing around them where they are loose and secure it with a couple of zip ties, so the lines don't rub on anything.

@trdcorolla Did you specify a 10 degrees angle with your order? The standard is 15, isn't it? ... Would love to see pics once you have them installed.

Yes, I talked to them on the phone about 10 degree step before I placed my order. I threw away the notes about the standard angle after I ordered it but from memory 15 degrees sounds right. I'll post pictures when I get home tonight.

I don't know that you will want flaps at all with sliders, unless you don't need the sliders as sliders. The OEM mudflaps like to get ripped off when wheeling ;)

@trdcorolla thanks for the pics! The 10 degree angle looks pretty optimal for being a step and maintaining clearance. Now that you have them installed, would you have ordered it any differently?
