I eMailed White-Knuckel to see if I could pickup in Apple Valley but got no response. I know there are bunches of posts on sliders but I can't fund a side by side review and comparison of White-Knuckel, Slee,RockyRoad or MetalTeck. Is three one?
I need sliders quick.

There is not. Slee doesn't have a kick out. Metal tech and white knuckle do. White knuckles angle upward. Metaltech and slee stick straight out. Idk anything about rocky road.

Try wkor again in a couple months. He told me he's swamped with tax refund money orders. You can pick up in apple valley. That's what I did.

It was difficult to gauge which slider I would like, but I took a chance on the WKOR and I've been very pleased.

By the way, if you want to save some cash, by them unfinished and just rattle can em. You'll beat them up regardless..

Another good option is BumpItOffroad sliders. I got my sliders from BIO with the kickouts in the back. I ordered them raw unfinished and primed and painted them myself. They've been great.

Picking up my sliders from John at White Knuckle next weekend. He's been super responsive to me with no issue. My brother and his neighbor just picked up 2sets for their Dodge Rams and very pleased with them. They did a lot of research as well.

I'm looking into wk sliders but want to know if anyone has experience with younger kids getting in and out and safety. My youngest is 4, petite and is independent with the stock steps. I was thinking these or step sliders from cruisin.

I've got white knuckle sliders with full top metal plate. I plan on removing the top plate once the kids are older. I also have a 4 year old boy and he can get in and out of truck without any help. I did add some 3M grip tape.

Note that mine have their standard angle upwards but you can order then flat too. I kept the angle, mostly for aesthetics. But even with the upwards angle the but still steps on then easily.

I have the white knuckle sliders with full top plate also. I have 2" lift and a 4 year old son. He can barely climb in the truck on his own. Since I don't off-road anywhere near as much or as hard core as I daily drive, I really wish I had went with the 0* upturn instead of the 15* that they come with standard.

Even with the upturn there's still a lot of slider to step on, it's just a good solid 2" higher on the outer most portion. Here are some pics looking down the side of my truck:

That's not listed on his website, could you get a set with upward angle that just sat straight out?

FWIW you could sell me yours and get you a new set. Lol...

What the underside look like of the slider with the full top plate?
It is completely touching the rail all the way around the perimeter? And coated also?

They'll build you flat sliders, you just have to ask them. They can do any angle you want I'd assume.

I also have the full top plate and it touches all the way around. Fully powder coated.

In the old Sur America was really typical for the ''engeniers'' to let a mule trace the path of less resistance on really step mountain roads..

To me this sliders are perfect.

But the ones on this posting are a second close, I like the logic about them, nicely done

I installed mine last week and am very pleased.. I went with the DOM and full top plate and kept the standard angle rather than flat for better clearance , with the top plate and angle I had them cut a couple u shaped openings for a highlift jack foot , which wouldnt be necessary if they were flat. I am glad I went with their sliders , they are a very quality product and customer service is excellent

Any pictures?

I'm really wanting to see how the top plate mounts, or how the top plate(s) mount as its two segments correct?

Would a slider with the top plates protect as much as a front mud guard would? I suspect more so.

What pictures are you looking for? You can see how the top plate is attached in several of the above pictures. See the silver bolt heads? The top plate is just screwed on. You can also see a shot where both slider and front mud flap are installed. Without the front flap the slider would do a decent job of protecting the rocker panels.

The hardware of the top plate and how and where the plate touches all around the slider.

Appreciate ya,

You can't see what you need in all the pictures above? There are like 6 or 7 allen head bolts that hold the top plate down. The top plate lays on top of the slider and is bolted on to it.

K, will try to post some pix this evening unless someone beats me to it. Away from the LC all day today. ;-(

see above pics of ihadmail's its the same exact thing. the top plates are installed with several small screws to tabs welded underneath, and are 1 piece of metal per side.. the protection for the body from stuff the front tires kick up are the main reason I went with the top plates they do a great job
