As I get close to 300000 mi, I have been thinking about where to drive it and turn 300,000 mi.
I was thinkin about on top of a mt or some place cool where I could get a good pic of the odometer and something out the windshield at the same time.
Any ideas on where to go in western CO or UT?

Does Toyota have a 100,000 mi club/premonition like they use to or has it changed to a 1,000,000 mi club

Headgasket Alley?

Toy,

Do it on top of a 14er in CO. What else could be better?

SS

300,000! That is awesome. From pics, Black Bear Pass looks very photogenic

Toyota does have a way for you to show off your high-mileage truck: http://www.toyotatrucknation.com/

I haven't registered and uploaded my truck yet, but looks like there might be some schwag in it for ya.

You should give us a short biography of your truck.
What's original, what has failed and when, etc. etc.

300,000 is cool.
Hope I get there.

Thats abit over 12 times around the planet...........I would pick a spot close to the edge of an abyss on top of the world , so you can turn around and do it all over again.

I remember seeing a Volvo 1800 coupe that made 1,000,000 miles.
Volvo offered to buy the car back.
when asked how he put so many miles on the car the owner (who lived in NY) said he would think nothing of driving to Florida for dinner.

If I recall correctly, that guy also did it on the original engine and tranny.

Some guy drove his '97 Chevy truck a million miles on a K&N airfilter.

Drive up in the mountains out of town. It is easy to find a beautiful place in the mountains of Colorado. I would just keep a camera in glove box when you get close and pull over on a noraml day driving and take a picture. Maybe when you pull over on the side of the road to take a picture a cop will pull up behind you can ask him to take the picture and then he can give you a ticket to commemorate the event.

when i got close to 300K (292K+) my odometer started rolling backwards! I am now at 291K and some change....

go figure

Keep on going. You need to make it to 477,712 miles. That is round trip to the moon and back.

I'm not sure what Toyota will do for you at 300k. I did the 200,000 mile club and they sent me a sticker, a license plate frame, and a T shirt. The theme is GO THE DISTANCE! They also published a blurb on my rig on their website. It is funny to read how they edited it. It is Toyota Truck Nation. But there are getting to be more and more Cruisers on it.

Mercedes used to give you a diamond ring when you made it to 1,000,000 miles and they did badges for each major milepost for the grill of your car. When I was a kid there was a guy down the block who had a 300D that made it to a million miles.

Saab gives you a new Saab if you make it to a million.

You should probably just do it on your commute so it will be fitting, given that's been both the pain and pleasure of the beast. If you want to celebrate, you're closer to Moab than the top of any driveable 14'er.

I don't commute the 80 anymore...well... only when the Supra is down...
Well, the Supra is down right now waiting for Dan to get it a rebuilt rack :frown:

I just replaced the O2 in the 80 today.
Just in time, the dash was lit up like a Xmas tree, the CE, Low Oil and Power lights were all lit up.
