Hi All, for a few years now my 1HDT's sunroof has been stuck in the almost closed position It rains a lot around here and I haven't built a roof yet, so feel I need to try and get the motor/sunroof sorted. Do i have to rip the roof lining out to get to the motor??? Where is it?

Remove the overhead console where the sunroof switches and sub tank gauge is, should have good access to the motor from there.

Lots of good info here:

Many thanks Bud, I'll be studying that conscientiously.

If you don't have a copy of the FSM for your model go to the RESOURCES page above, find your model, download a copy of the FSM, search for Sunroof
The owners manual might also discuss how to close the sunroof glass manually

Try this:

Haven't done it myself but here's a photo FWIW:

Thx, I cranked a little on where you indicated but with only less than a quarter turn each way. I'm going to have to go deeper me thinks.
