I've tried all the big home improvement chains and no one seems to carry it

I get mine from the local steel supplier.

I've tried Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, Northern tool supply and Tractor Supply Company with no luck



Local welder only has bits and pieces, not a full sheet

Look up steel suppliers/vendors in the phone book, or ask the trailer guy where he gets his from. Most suppliers are reluctant to deal with individuals, but will usually work with you if you pay cash.

A local fencing company may also be able to help. It should be similar to what they use on front security screen doors.

Well, I just got in touch with a few steel suppliers and the prices per sheet is a bit higher than expected


I'm actually debating a stained wood floor

You could try David's Trailers on Colonial Drive(if they are still around). They used to stock alot of steel.

Also do a search on chicken coop flooring on here. It might surprise you.

I did treated redwood boards on my Tradesman I had on my FJ60. Rattled like crazy on washboards, but functional, cheap, and light. But wouldn't do it again due to the noise, though I guess you could engineer that a little better than I did...

by the way when you talk to the metal suppliers they call it "Flat Expanded" FYI
