Small update.

Brake booster vacuum hook-up connected using OEM fuel line and clips. Much better than the pre-bent, hard-as-a-rock 30 year old hose.

62 Hoses inside of the fender are long gone which is why I had to go with another option. I ordered 7 intake possibilities and the one above work the best.

Onur, was your vacuum connector flash gordon ray gun dealio that screws into intake cleaned?
That little vacuum nipple that comes off was clogged solid with gunk in mine. No vaccuum was going through it.
I soaked the part in laquer thinner and ran a guitar string back and forth to clean it out.

Sorry--that thing.

Yes, I cleaned it well since it provides vacuum to the booster as well as to the AC idle up.

And finally she went in:

BIG THANKS to my good friend Steve M who braved the cold weather to help in a big way. Owe Ya big Steve. Thanks as always for your help.
I am still bummed that I could not be there for this.

It's like Christmas!

Well, something showed up. Haven't even opened it yet. Just stuffed it into the Camry.

Son of a whorebag already. . .open it. . .open it. . .open it. I can't take the suspense. . .that's it, I'm heading to Atlanta NOW. Please leave those boxes in the back of your UNLOCKED Camry and I'll send you pictures of the opened boxes and parts being installed on my 60 =)

That Camry is bauce sauce!!

Gonna have to add some airbags for load stabilization. Or style, depending on preference ;)

I know it's just a car for you lol

Wagons are the best!

Well, I did open the boxes Shane.

Very impressive packaging... 15 mins just to unwrap!!

And I am very, very impressed with the workmanship, the care to detail and attention to what I wanted in a rear bumper/carrier.

While it's going to be a bit before it is installed, I do want to say I am very impressed by the fabricator in a number of different aspects that were tangential to the actual product: Communication, listening, collaboration, and honesty.

Those are tantamount in my book of somone who enjoys their craft and enjoys their ability to create artifacts that someone else will be proud to display, use and own.

I was wavering on who to commision for this bumper and I am happy that I choose Jason Reeves for the project.

I wanted something that I wanted to see on my truck--not necessarily what Jason might have wanted in his truck or what he fabricates normally. And that's a testament to Jason's character as a craftsman and artist in the classic Greek sense of "techne."

I have always loved dearly my Slee bumper on my 80. One of the best purchases for my truck.

I wanted one just like it for my 60.

Slee does not fabricate them anymore.

I spoke with Jason and he was on board immediately. He did not once tell me what he thought would look good. He wanted me to have what I wanted.

We discussed options, feasibility, and design. His vision was immediate and it was very close to exactly what I wanted.

Now that I can see and feel the final product, I am quite happy I chose to spend my money with Jason (these are, afterall, not small purchases for a working schmuck like me).

I am looking forward to the install and I am looking forward to sharing some installed/completed pics. I am going to add some mods myself to tr bumper--mainly cause I wanna use my Miller too.

Thanks Jason. Pleasure working with you.
