Not stock. It looks like a mounting bracket for an aftermarket gauge of some sort.
The brake lamp is in the dash...the erg lamp uses the same bulb, lamp and lens.OK folks I have no skin in this game as I have a '72, but curiosity got the best of me again. I enjoy the challenge of looking up old parts for these trucks, when questions come up, on a official set of Toyota microfiche, I got from a local dealership back in early '80's. So from what I see the EGR light only, was identified as number 81409 and p/n 81850-60011. It looks as this light was mounted in the dash for the cruiser year in question. So was your EGR light moved, if so what is in the dash hole now? You can see the light set up changed in 09/75, now having the three lights (seat belt, brake, EGR) , and the bracket for same having number 81859 and p/n 81943-90300. I can't seem to find reference to the bracket shown in the op pic. Signed, Old and Confused.
199336…..maybe a few weeks apart?Mines a May of 75 too. Vin 0200716.
That EGR light bracket is welded to the column bracket. I hit my knees on mine so I just cut it off with a Dremel tool.
@FloridaLife I had this bracket in my May 1975 FJ40…I’m 5’ 11’ and while my knees didn’t come that close to it…it was staring at me with that empty hole. That bugged me and when I discovered there was another bracket, I used it however…. I’d have had no problem just chopping it off and flap disc it smooth.
When I was offered a trade, I took the option as it’s a 9 month only bracket and coming from a background in “hard to find” parts… I invested the $10.00 in shipping as did @mattressking, and kept the bracket alive.
It seems like a great place to mount your adjustment control. How’s that going by the way?
That said, bend a piece of metal and drill a hole…weld it up and you’re done
Great !! Would love to see a few pics
