Mine turned about 1.5 revolutions. My grey cap is gone. New coil pack and tight screw, hope I'll see a MPG improvement.
Oh please if you do see a improvement drop us a line...my cap is also history

no... my screw was fineDid you see any difference, or was your screw still secure?
Very interesting
I will have to check this out, if my 62 gets any quicker I wont be missing my sti
I'm skeptical that adjusting the screw has any real effect on mileage. Anyone have any data to support the mileage improvement?
checked mine, the screw was laying on top of the the dampner. the grey cap keeped it from flying away. i installed the screw until she no longer turned and i did make a difference just in the idle. the idle became solid (kind of like an engine that you'd expect to have some HP). i can not coment on power or gas mileage increase. my alternator took a dump. i did notice that after a while at idle it started to back out. JB weld took care of that.
Spook50 good catch and thanks for posting the thread
I'm always skeptical about these little things and big claims that go along with them but just checked mine. Sure enough the screw was sitting unscrewed under the cap. Tightened that little bugger and my idle went up 300rpm and is now nice and smooth. Put a dab of JB Weld on it while I was at it, if it performs better or MPG increases I'll post up.
That is really good MPG's for a 62 ....do not expect much more.Last time I checked mpg I was getting 15.3. I'm going to check out this little screw and see what happens.
