Pulled the plugs on the new '62, poured some Marvel Mystery Oil down each cylinder and hand-cranked it over...smooth as silk!
Scraped the gunk off the the engine number, compared it to the service manual, confirms that we have the original engine. This is getting good.

Stop teasing we need some more pics!

Jealous! Reminds me of helping my neighbor save a 72 FJ55 this time last year; you pulled a door mirror for me and I'm still indebted. Cheers, looks great. Nothing like bringing one back from the grave.

Yup, ordinary gasoline...

Bushings and stuff. That was really like a week, week and a half ago.

Made a new lift hatch latch to replace the stock one that's been broken since I bought my cruiser (12 years ago). For the first time since I owned it I can now open the lift hatch from the outside.

Put an dome light in. Put a new CD player in. Put a backup/camping light on the jerry can rack.

Also for the first time since I owned it my windshield sprayers work.

Good productive day working on the cruiser.

Then I flooded my house and pretty much forgot about all the good stuff I did to my cruiser. :(

Picked this up...again

New Weber carb replacing the 32/36 that was on it. New plug wires, new gas pedal and throttle linkage. Still getting a fuel/exhaust smell after letting off the gas around 50mph and horrible, horrible gas mileage.
