Then I got a phone call......some times life sucks! FJ to the back burner...

Drove it

Lookin' GOOD Nick!
Love those seats!

I picked up some sweet seats and spent the weekend fabricating and installing. They were leather and electric so I'll be riding in comfort.

After the seats got installed and wired I was able to install the parking brake and connect the rear driveline.

I spent forever bleeding brakes but still have no pedal, but I wasn't going to let that keep me from starting it and seeing if it will go forward and backward under it's own power. I was excited.... no exhaust system so it was a bit loud but it rolled out of the garage under it's own power... first time since I've owned it (14 months).

Pulled the doors and striped them down removed rust and got them ready for paint!! woo hoo

I started by replacing the heater valve on the fire wall and some how the whole dam heater is out and a waiting the foam kit from a fellow member. oh and even changed the spark plugs.

Those are 16" tires correct? What brand?

I have headers similar (not as pretty though), did you have any trouble with the spark plugs or where they already in. I could not get a socket in there (front and back ones cause of the header was in the way) and had to use a wrench. that don't seem normal. purdy motor
Finally got my headers on. :bounce::bounce2:

this carb is on its way to Mark for a proper rebuild.

Finally have one with no warping, proper float that has no leaks, and all the proper bits

Cleaned the s*** outta the inside with carb cleaner and let it dry out etc before send, should be easy to rebuild now i hope :)

and have to pull out the water 1 Montero 2 doors.....then a 2010 Tundra that was stuck on the same spot..but this time the Tundra was draging a Dodge Raider with bad ignition problems....so the Warn 8274-50 do the right job..again.

Thanks mate. I already had the plugs in the heads but I have a set of go through sockets that should do the trick for getting them out. Like these.

Towed it back to Vegas after running the Rubicon, only suffered a broken Saginaw pump...

Installed a new choke cable. OEM cable gone years ago. PO put in a generic one, looked like it was off of a lawnmower or something. I put a new OEM one in. It is not year-appropriate, but it looks nice and works perfectly.

Also replaced the rusty cowl vent screws with new stainless ones from CCOT.

:)
