That blue looks so good.

Installed an Aussie floor mat from CCOT. Before and After.

Installed a 2.5# Black Halguard Clean Agent Car Fire Extinguisher. Couldn't really find a good place to mount it that would be quickly accessible in case of emergency. I settled on over the rear drivers side fender behind the jump seat. Not great, but I figure that I could get it relatively quickly if the need ever arises, which I hope never does. By the way, H3performance.com is a great company to deal with. Super helpful customer service, no endless voicemails or recordings; real live human beings that are knowledgeable and friendly. Plus fast shipping.

Noticed, for the first time, that this is illuminating from time to time. Hoping it’s as simple as adjusting the emergency brake.

Also check your connections at the brake warning sensors under the Brake Master Cylinder. Didn't realize one of my connectors was broken till the entire wire fell out of the housing....repaired it, and my brake sensor light now works.

Drove my 40 to Death Valley for a little R&R

My 40 has only one light on the dash, and my '75 owner's manual says:

BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
The brake system warning light is operative when the ignition key is in the ON position. It has two separate functions as described below.
1. Function as parking brake warning light:
The light glows when the parking brake is applied and goes off when the parking brake is completely released. Be sure that this light is off before driving.
2. Function as brake system warning light:
The light glows when the hydraulic pressure in the brake system is insufficient because of brake fluid leaking
WARNING: If this light glows when the brake pedal is depressed while driving, slow down and stop the vehicle as soon as possible. DO NOT continue to drive under such conditions.

My warning light will flash briefly when I let off of the pedal. I figured that the switch is just sensing the change in pressure? Hence the warning applies to times when the brake pedal is depressed.

Well, took a big swing at finishing the chassis so the body can go back on. Got most of the fuel system run. Made some custom hoses and bent some hardline. I’m not totally happy with the hardline routing/bend quality, but it is what it is and it’s not bothering me enough to want to redo/spend money. Just need to run the vent line and that’s about that I guess. Just going to use 1/4” fuel hose for the vent line. Need to pull some brackets I’ve made and paint them. Then I guess I can’t put off the cooling and driveshaft mods any longer….😬

Fixed a couple things- some worked, some didn’t. Loaded her up and headed to Vernal, Ut for Mtbing and wheeling in the morning. Can’t wait!!!! Only problem is the snow in the local forecast tomorrow morning :-(. Means a reroute through Ogden instead of my preferred route through Flaming Gorge. Oh well
