Gotta love Toyota remanufactured parts. Installed new voltage regulator, which does away with the external condensor:

And the gear reduction starter. The truck now starts with ferocity!

Sggoat Gary came over from Alva today with his 40 full of fine stuff! from garden grown goodies to weird toggle switches..Anyway first up was glass removal from my original hardtop which I foolishly left in my SoFlo yard to use as a lawn mower shelter while I ran Bikini top the last 5 years. Needless to say SoFlo humidity and the yard sprinkler system melted the metal parts into rust and for some reason I didn't notice till the damage was done. We removed the glass which was fine. I shall give a good burial in my yard to my metal hardtop parts which served me well for many years. Then we started the SOR upholstery rehab and Gary had the tools to get that started. got the most important part done, driver butt seat, with a bit of trial and error, Daaang! does it look good! SOR upholstery kits seem to be very heavy duty and includes upgrade parts as well as some thick material and great foam. Gary has the knowledge and creativity to tackle the jobs I spend days trying to figure out how to do. Big Tip Of the Hat to Gary! A fine Land Cruiser Buddy.

New shoes on the 79. The new BFG KO2. I really like them a lot. Rides great on the road.

The old shoes went on the 71 BFG mud terrains. Wire wheeled and painted the wheels while I was at it.
New brake hoses going on tomorrow courtesy of @Racer65

What size did you go with on the KO2's?

Probably going to be my next tire and size, tired of trying to figure out a way to make 33x10.50 fit. refuse to lift. Hate to sacrifice the additional clearance. But maybe with the dual shocks up front and the old coil over Man a Fre shocks in the rear maybe there is still hope ......give up the aged out ancient 9.50 15 BFG MT's ....but there you go. I still feel maybe I can clear the 33x10.50-15's.............

Seat covers are gorgeous tahoe...............................
