What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Just the usual taking rust out and got the front end seam seald and ready to shoot with paint.

Came within 3 weekends of completing a full restoration of my 71 FJ40. Hopefully start it next weekend, then a weekend of all new wiring. It's been a two year project.

Got an original side mirror that the PO's father found...

I actually filled all the holes and cracks (big ones) with bondo filler with fiberglass fibers. Sanded it all down, but it still wasnt "perfect". I painted it with a white primer and then used Hammerite white Paint. Up close, not perfect, but from a few feet away, looks awesome.

Good luck, pm me if you have any questions.

thanks,
moe

thats the route i am going to take- thanks!

oh, and: I drove my truck 15 miles to the local cruiser meet - started right up :D

it was 91 degrees Fahrenheit when I left the house at 7pm, and believe me, it did not cool off much that night - it was still like 80 Fahrenheit when I got back at 10:30pm

truck pulled 80 up the hill, BTW, and I didn't even hit the floor :hillbilly:

I drove it!!! :D After being out of service since April, I FINALLY got the crankshaft pulley and new belts straightened out, squared away some electrical issues, and I took her around the block a couple of times to get her juices pumping. :bounce:

what is the indicator in the lower row left

you have no hazards

The lower left indicator is 4wd (used to be vacuum shift 4x4) and the hazards are the red switch (top row 3rd from the left)
