Ordered front axle rebuild kit!! Trying to chase the gremlin short in the electrical system. Bout to just throw in a batt disconnect switch and looking at different options for the carrying a spare tire?

Changed the oil in both diffs, transfer case and gearbox. 10L all up. Split a drum of oil with a mate and purchased a pump for it. Probably the best thing ever that pump! Beats sitting under there with one of those "Tom Thumb" pumps that only hold 1L and then pumping for ages!

Then went for a drive on the beach.

Today I dropped it in to get the extractors fitted. The gasket between the head and the manifold has been shot since I got it, and progressively getting worse. Went to get the gasket replaced, and the shop said the manifold will need to be machined, which could cost between $30-$100. I said "never mind" because this sounds like an excuse to get extractors! eBay & 5 days later and they arrived - win!

Keen to see how much difference they make to the 3B.

Adjusted the valves and changed the oil on the '76. Did a little work on the '77 (Toygoata) nothing major.

Just finished putting in a 3.73 third member from a FJ60 in my 40 to make into a better daily driver. Now my 40 can now see 70 .. Tomorrow the test drive and moment of truth

Put a new seal in the back of the '76's transfer case.

Working a lot of shifts the next 8 weeks, the Toygoata is on the back burner. Trying to get the other one ready for Winter.

Painted my dash knobs :)

What's the little dash switch next to the red switch for? It's a tiny guy and I have one but not sure what it's used for.

Installed 4x4 Labs "Frombe" steering arms plus 1 ton tie rod ends and very heavy duty tie rods.
Replaced all the front axle hard brake line with braided stainless steel lines.

Dome light, mine is above the drivers head. And there is a connector on top of the windshield frame on the driver side
