replaced the pre fuel filter

This afternoon I was driving home with the :princess: and my dog when my (B) engine lost power and finally died. Fortunately I was prepaired for this going to happen. I always carry a spare pre fuel filter and tools in the truck so the exchange was a easy job.
Old filter out, new filter in, purge/bleed the system and back on the road in 10 minutes. Here is the old pre filter.

Swapped the Trans hump in my 74 with one from my 78 had to put back some steel on the hump where rust stole it from me. Then hurculined the cover and my front floor and started reinstalling seats tank cover etc... Once put back the inside of my FJ is done!!! Now onto the outside... Finish rear bumper and swing out tire carrier, cut holes in tub for led lights fix brake line then she is ready to get inspected after being off the road for 4 years.

I found a later model Toyota pickup brake booster which bolted right up to my '75. I can now lock up the brakes with little effort. Woot! Woot!

$15 from the local pull-a-part. Finally a modification that didn't break the bank!

EricSD that first picture you posted is awesome!!

what product did you use to paint it? are you happy with the way it turned out? i am going to do mine in the coming weeks and need to start getting my game plan together...

I actually filled all the holes and cracks (big ones) with bondo filler with fiberglass fibers. Sanded it all down, but it still wasnt "perfect". I painted it with a white primer and then used Hammerite white Paint. Up close, not perfect, but from a few feet away, looks awesome.

Good luck, pm me if you have any questions.

thanks,
moe
