@MRego

Man we love the TRD Pro. Made sure to snag a new 24 before they were gone. Its a perfect compliment to the LC

Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this lose attachment point on the front passenger-side bumper? I’ve already replaced the support bracket piece, but it still doesn’t want to stick.

I did a oil change today like I do every 8.000km. Today I realized that I probably need a new oil filter housing since after now ~43-48 oil changes I think it is close to beeing done.

Good thing is that a friend will order within the next weeks a new back door for his 2001 78series so I will directly order with him to save a bit on shipping from Saudi Arabia.

Ps.: oh and before you ask, I preffer do my oil changes way earlier but with way cheaper oil with like ~$2.90/liter. But yeah also ma friend and preowner was running it like this and the diesel still sounds as nice as a tractor like diesel of this size can sound :)

Mine does this, and a friend's LX does as well. Seems like a poorly designed tab on the bumper skin can't be grabbed firmly enough by the retaining clip, usually after removal of the skin.

Curious if someone has a solution.

Made another purely cosmetic change that may not be everyone’s cuppa. Replaced the grille on my 21. I saw this grille on a pic of a ME spec 200 series and loved the look. I fortunately found a kind soul in Malaysia who had replaced that same grille on his own 200 and offered it to me for the cost of shipping. Only other grille I’ve seen that I prefer is the HE, and that’s a lot more expensive than I’m willing to pay.

If the tiny plastic pieces on the plastic bumper itself (the ones that engage with the 52115-60141 pictured above) are broken or flattened, there isn't much you can do aside from replacing the bumper itself, or adding some sort of external fastening mechanism like the import car guys do since they can't keep bumpers on either...

Something like these:

If the lower portion of the bumper has ever been hit or snagged on something, it can distort the metal attachment brackets down there, which can pull on the upper attachment points that you're messing with. So, that's at least something to check as well.

Just got the car back from the shop. New meats, rims, fresh fluid changes, and an AHC overhaul in new rear shocks and new accumulators.

L mode, love the tucked look. Tight turns aren’t very friendly, but the tire does clear the fender. Would be hesitant to go over a speed bump like this.

N- daily height. Rides great, taller and more comfortable now.

H- to the moon! The wife’s first time getting in after I parked in it H mode “what the heck dude, this thing is massive”… she got the memo.

All in all the car is great! Couple small touch ups to do, but falling in love with it more every day!
Love the setup man! I’m in the Huntsville area, hope to see your rig riding around.

Almost done with replacing the steering rack.

Since I'm using tundra parts, if anyone wants the unused oem outer tierod ends that came with the rack, you can have them for free, just pay shipping. Edit: these are gone.

Stripped/ rounded out my front diff drain plug today. I ordered and already received new fill and drain plugs and the front diff drain plug removal tool from KAON. I’m glad I ordered it just in case. Welded the tool to the plug and was able to get it out no problem. Refilled with new fluid and am good to go now.

For anyone else coming along if you tap (“firmly”) around the edge of the original plug with a hammer it usually comes out without issue.

If the tab is compromised, you can do a few things depending on how impacted it is. Some heavy duty permanent type 3M or Gorilla duct tape for added bulk/grip. Possibly rebuild or add bulk/features to it with some plastic welding. Can even be reinforced by embedding some thin wire or staples.

Quick search shows some of the plastic welding that's possible.
