This 200 and the platform in general is all new to me. Been rocking a 1fz 80 for last 20 years and just picked this one up 6 mos ago but it’s seen very little driving. Under 2k since purchase

No clue on last oil change date or mileage.

Not aware of a screen. (Edit-Is that the missing perforated stem?) or would it be on top or bottom? My assumption was the spring and “valve plates” were loose and not enagaged in position when it was last assemble reducing available height leading to crushing the filter element when installed.

I’d like to get the proper housing on order and any other needed parts n pieces.
Yeah you will be cycling unfiltered oil until you get a support tube in there. From stock the spring pushes on the bottom of the support tube driving the filter element to the top of the housing. The filter can handle it as long as the support tube keeps it in shape.

Unfortunately that’s an aftermarket cap and they are known to have quality issues. Probably there because the original was over torqued then broke during an oil change. This likely didn’t occur at a dealer if that helps you investigate the service/carfax hx

See pics in linked thread to see the missing filter support tube.

Also here's a thread about plastic oem vs aftermarket caps.

Just boring maintenance this week. Truck turned 150K recently. 2nd coolant flush and changed differential and transfer case fluids. Love the rig and still runs like new.

put the stock exhaust back on after 9 days. The dirty deeds 14” is a bit too loud for me, personally. What’s really interesting is the amount of low end torque I got back going to the stock muffler. If anyone in southern california is interested the dirty deeds exhaust is available, maybe someone who plans to tune their 200.

Hit 88,888 miles! I purchased from the original
Owner a little over 4 years ago and drove it home hitting 44,444 miles that day! If I didn't let my wife daily it the first year, I would
Be probably under 75k miles still right now. Also extended my rear bump stops with some metal spacers I had laying around

Its interesting how these cars just dont seem to love exhaust work. Maybe its the owners being a bit more mature / reserved than the average Mustang owner (I love Mustangs and am also an Aussie bogan at heart)?

Maybe the sound of the 3UR also doesn't really lend itself to a raucous exhaust?

I don’t think it’s the 3UR specifically. It may be the land cruiser body and where the muffler resides, it’s right under the left/second row passenger seat. Some love this exhaust, some don’t like it. Seems to be hit or miss, I was curious enough to give it a try. the next person may love it

Got a Facebook marketplace alert and picked up a clean spare Tundra TRD Pro rim to replace my factory spare. Got a good price from an LX dude that picked up a complete second set for spares. FYI he still has two left, PM me if you’re interested. Located in Bonita, CA.

PS the part number on these was PT960-34190. These ones appear to be the 02’s.

Before you slap that under the rig be sure your rubber pads aren’t gonna damage them. I even replaced the pads with new and they’ve still made marks on my factory wheels.

It doesn’t look THAT shiny. Maybe polish it up a bit with Simichrome? How’s life in Santa Clara? I lived there for a short time way back in the late 70’s.
Santa Clara's great. Lot of good food around. I have a friend who grew up here in the 70s-80s. Sounds like it was a lot of fun back then too.

Trying to keep my Lx570 as stock as possible, but slowly building it out for short camping trips.

For the bed/storage I opted to go for the GX Basecamp platform. I did make a few modifications to the design. Gas struts and custom foam padding.

This was a happy surprise after I got everything installed. There is just enough clearance for the cover to stay open when shutting the rear liftgate. I discovered it by accident and was happy it did not end in disaster.

I think you may have a small dog trapped under there!

Replaced the no-name plastic wiper blades my 2019 was wearing--with OEM metal assemblies from ToyotaPartsDeal. Immediate improvement!!

Took my new to me 15 LX570 to the dealer for what I thought was a coolant flush and brake fluid flush (all other maintenance was up to date as far as I could tell). Service advisor showed me where the truck had just had coolant flush, brake fluid flush, alignment, balance, diff actuator replacement right before I picked it up from a local non-Lexus dealer. Score! Got them to print their records since they were way different than what was in the lexus app. Shouldn't need anything other than oil/filters until 120k now.
