I've been using the Powerstop Truck & Tow brakes for the past 5 years on our 2008. Very very good brakes. Phenomenal value.Put in Powerstop z36 pads front and rear. Nice upgrade from what was in there before (presumably stock?). The old pads required a lot of pedal force to really grab, these new ones have a nice initial bite and hold firmer with less pedal effort (i.e. to keep you from creeping at a stop light).
Are you and @Heckraiser using the OEM calipers still with these pads/rotors? I'll need to do this upgrade soon - have seen most redo their brakes at 40k miles.I've been using the Powerstop Truck & Tow brakes for the past 5 years on our 2008. Very very good brakes. Phenomenal value.
OEM calipers. Never an issue since using this brand for the past 80k miles. Maybe it's just me, but the install goes very smoothly except the rear calipers are a bit fidgety to put back on the new rotors. I recommend you put a little anti-seize between the hub and rotors to make them easier to remove. Are you and @Heckraiser using the OEM calipers still with these pads/rotors? Have you considered LED in color temp closer to halogen (4300K-4500K) instead of the white to cool white (5500K - 6000K)?I might just be silly but I prefer the warm color of halogen bulbs. My wife's car has led headlights and I don't like them at all
The thing is you can get LED's that are on the warm end of the spectrum. For whatever reason auto manufactures chose to go with the 4000k and up look.I might just be silly but I prefer the warm color of halogen bulbs. My wife's car has led headlights and I don't like them at all
Are these still your go-to for our '13 headlights?LEDs don’t come without their own issues. Heat sinks to deal with, light pattern won’t be truly perfect, common quality issues.
I can’t remember the bulb type for a LX with projectors and whether Philips HIRs are available for that application but I use them in the high beams of my cruiser and they are awesome. Zero downsides.. if they are available, that is.
I know I’ve bought a 9012 in the past but that may have been for my 80-series.
