Added some @Baja Designs LP6 in clear/ spot pattern for for light distance. Tied into the high beam so that when you flip er to high beam they kick on high.

@Baja Designs wiring harness kit is no joke. I do plan to cut a few feet out of the harness and clean it up when I do a battery replacement in the future.

Installed some rear hatch lights. Instrumental they can be either red or white. These are the same ones I put in my engine bay like that Ed Martin guy did. I ran the wires to a 3 way rocker switch mounted on the wing kit of my ARB drawers. I drilled small holes through the rear of the plastic to act like cable management for the wires and added 2 different sets of quick disconnects for future ease of panel removal and light maintenance. The red tape on my wires identifies the red light wire to ensure I don't get my wires crossed up. Whelen 3SRCCDCR is the part number for the light.

For those that don't know when your rear hatch is open your interior lights stay on so keep a carabiner close by and put it into your locking mechanism. This will trick your hatch into thinking it is shut and turn your interior lights off. You can see the carabiner in my pic for reference.

My rear hatch switch gets delivered today from Cruiser Outfitters hence the center trim piece missing. Be nice to exit the vehicle out the back rather a side door upon waking when camping.

What a great idea! I venture to guess those have more storage capacity than the fancy slide out drawers since there is the roller bearing hardware. Furthermore, those totes are waterproof to capture anything that spills and easy to remove and set on the ground for say camping. The shelf keeps lots of cargo room above the drawers too.
For the kind of car camping we do, being able to carry the “drawers” over to a picnic table when we set up camp is a nice added feature. We roll out west later this week, so we’ll give them a shakedown!

Brought home a visitor to see the minivan. This is the second LC200 I've test driven and I've once again confirmed that I prefer the Toyota to the Lexus both in vibe and ride/handling character. Also, like the first LC200 I test drove, this one is rusty underneath. Spent its first 11 years in Vermont and New Jersey and the KDSS valves look super crusty. Frame and suspension are manageably rusty, body is rust free, but the KDSS screws look bad lol. But I like the color, the price is bordering on acceptable and I get good cruiser vibes from it. I know it's idiotic, but I'm still considering making the switch.

As a New Englander, I'm pretty wary of rust. You do have the advantage that if you treat everything really well, it won't get exposed to continued salt like it would where I live. I dumped my 4Runner though mainly because the undercarriage got insanely rusty in just a few years. Got a 200 from South Carolina because it had no rust. Thinking where you are you should be able to find a less rusty one?
 
Disassembled my front bumper and installed a winch and reassembled everything.

I had the old Slee battery terminal extenders that I replaced with these solid metal flat lug battery terminal that I got for $30.

This let me remove my threaded stud to SAE converter and really lock things down. (They make an SAE version too)

I’m also trying something a bit different for a disconnect for the Winch. I didn’t like the big plastic box’s mounting solutions so I’m giving this a try.

Todo: I need to pain the knob red and replace my black heat shrink I put on with red as well.

Screwed up the slee solar panel install! This was my fault, so not blaming slee on this, BUT, I would recommend doing this in the shade or in a garage because the sun heated up the vinyl to a point where you could not peel the backing off without ruining it! I invented a few curse words on this! Spent so much time on prep to then have this happen! :mad::bang:

Wow. I didn't know Slee came out with this kit. You can probably get another piece of 3M vinyl backing from Slee. Their install video sure makes it look easy inside their shop. Good feedback on trying to do this outside in sun.
