If it says so you should be good.
You may have to burn as .WAV, but its many many times more dense in memory than CD even compared to MP3 you should get more songs on there. Any decent bit rate mp3 that is. God its been a long time since ive ever even thought of this.

You know there are oem backed ipod harnesses right? And then you can slap a BT dongle on the 30 pin.

Help turning a 24/96 flac file into a DVD AUDIO DISC

The Roxio program I use doesnt support flac to dvd. Is there some software someone can recommend or am I doing something wrong?

I got a few dvd audio for the car I had before the LX. They can sound amazing, or pedestrian, depends on the mastering. Sounded good in the Lx, but the pressed supply is not very large. You can roll your own though.

Had a 12.5gal LRA tank installed. I live local to Long Range America and it was great to have Khris and Aiden do the install. Great guys and if there are any issues glad to be local to the company itself. Excited to have a little extra range on long trips and off road excursions.

Nice! I've seen a LRA GX driving around town but never realized they were local. Maybe this will be the straw that breaks the camel's wallet.

Or does the spare tire mount fit back as high as it did prior to the 12.5 install. 90percent of my needs are covered with 12.5. But as I always do I lean toward more is better and it’s not always the right decision.

I have the 12.5 and think it is perfect for keeping a spare tire under there still. If it is a change (I suspect it is slightly lower) it is minimal.

I got mine at a dealer parts desk (Olathe Toyota). You have to transplant the LC tube into the Taco metal housing.

The perforated tube already comes with the cap, but it's too short (since it's meant for the Venza part # 15620-31060). It's super easy to swap your tube over to the Venza cap. You just flatten out two tabs, then push-and-twist the tube to get it out. Then do that in reverse to get the tall tube inserted.

How are those metal filter housings? I'm trying to decide between this and the Jowett, which is a considerable amount more. There are tube to drain the filter that you can screw in and they are only like $10....seems this would be a much cheaper way to go and essentially mess free as well. Thoughts?

Yes, almost exactly 1". It's not a problem for a stock width 285 tire. I was pairing it with a 12.5" wide tire and that hung too low.

Mine's still working fine. What you've described was my thought process as well. I use one of those screw-in tubes to drain the filter out and it works as intended, although I think it's probably a little slower than not using the tube (but it avoids oil splashes, so I'll keep using it). Draining and changing out the filter is pretty painless.

I've done quite a few oil changes with the OEM metal housing and Amazon drain. I do the same with my Taco. Its easy and mess free if you do things in the right order and remember to make sure the drain tube valve is closed when you attach it. No rocket science here but its also something I only do every 6 months and I have screwed it up a couple times. The Jowett housing and valve is probably more idiot proof. I personally am not completely comfortable with a permanent spring loaded valve. I've not heard of anyone's valve getting hit and inadvertently opened but not having a valve is a good way to 100% eliminate a failure mode. That said, if the cost was the same, I think the Jowett would be the winner in terms of providing the easiest and most idiot proof oil change. Its just a personal cost/benefit or choice.

I used to have an EZ-Drain valve on my oil pan, but switched it back to a regular bolt drain plug for the same reason. 100% guaranteed that bolt isn't going to fail and spill oil everywhere when you're in the middle of nowhere need it most.

I wonder if this fear has ever been realized. I considered this as well but I’m not convinced it’s possible for the valve to be opened with the skids I have.

I could be wrong and filled profusely with regret.

I think its incredibly unlikely. I can see no real way for a valve to get hit with my BudBuilt skids in place. Maybe a one in a million shot with a stick or tree branch or bush. I believe there is come kind of cover for the valve lever if your worried about it and really want a valve. For me, I just feel better without a valve and a pretty painless oil change compared to having a valve and a slightly less painless oil change. If the oil needed to be changed every day, I might change my mind. Twice a year, I'm happy with what I have. YMMV.

Jollett Valve and filter drain both have a threaded screw cover for the drain point. Been running it on the truck for ~4 years and worth it for cleaner and quicker changes. Truck is fully Bud Built armored so no concerns on impact. Highly recommend.

Yeah, I completely understand, and it comes down to personal preference. I'm not really super worried about it either way, but the probabilities still come into play in my mind. There's a 0% chance a rogue stick will catastrophically damage a plug bolt. There's a non-zero chance with the drain valve.

And I'm not thinking about a stick turning the valve lever, I'm thinking of it breaking the valve off at the base, so that there's basically no chance of keeping any oil in after that to get off the trail. It's probably an almost-zero chance, but it's still non-zero. It's basically a thin tube keeping the whole vehicle mobile; a single failure point.

I do have Slee sliders that protect that oil pan plug, but looking down there it's still possible to see how a freak 1:1,000,000,000 chance/ bad-luck could force a branch in there sideways.

Plus, it means I don't ever think about it when I'm driving. That wasn't the case when I had the valve. That peace of mind makes it worth it to me.
