as far as the fire extinguisher bracket being overdesigned....in an actual front end crash, do you really want a 5 lb fire extinguisher to bust loose and break both of your legs?
those things should be designed for typical crash G loads.

I have a 200, so I am not sure what you're talking about. The center console is totally functional in the rear, and it can lay down completely independently of all the rest.

Nice! I know there are tons of resources - even a pinned thread here in MUD but is there a single video or blog post or something that explains this clearly to someone who doesn't have a ton of experience beyond simple maintenance? I have this on my plate to figure out in the next month or so.

I read through all the threads a dozen times and still didn't feel 100% like I knew what I was doing until I just crawled under the truck and started. From there it was very self-explanatory. The hardest part was getting new fluid into the reservoir without spilling any.

Exactly, a 35g crash makes that extinguisher a 175 lb projectile.

Ahh ok. I was confused. Those need to be strapped to steel and probably someone other than driver would access that sort of race setup. The dual E50 is clutch and as long as im in my seat still i should be able to get to it.

This thread has a lot of pictures and videos. It really isn’t that difficult. You only need a way to get fluid into the reservoir, a way to catch fluid at the bleeders and a 10mm wrench. (And whatever size socket the reservoir natch takes).

So yesterday I had some down time on my lunch hour so I went up and saw the guys at PowerTrays since they are somewhat local to me in Colorado. I am going to be adding a SwitchPro 9100 to my build and have always liked their accessory management systems. They currently do not have items that fit the 200 exactly but will have them in the near future. One of their tray designs fit as is and we only had to modify the leg to work with it correctly. They put this info into CAD right away and will be working other tray designs for release soon.

This tray is designed for install of an SP-9100, positive terminal block, and ground block with additional room on the end for another item which I believe is a BlueSea fuse block. I will be using the space on the left hand side for a Renogy solar controller. I plan to keep my primary battery "topped off" and happy. The piece on the fuse box is the leg support before we made modifications to it.View attachment 2920577

This is fantastic. I have been considering how to creat additional “aux” space on the drivers side of the compartment and this looks ideal. Thanks for your investment in time here!

Working on the ARB Twin triggered off the SwitchPro, to an UpDown Air system. Had a local guy weld some tabs onto my Slee sliders for the 4 Schrader valves. This will make life sooo much easier to air up and down.

I have a question for those running aftermarket non-Toyota wheels:

What did you do for lug nuts/wheel studs to get enough thread engagement?



I picked up a set of aluminum wheels with conical lugs, and I only get a few rotations on the wheel studs. I've searched here and tundra forums, and there are longer studs, out of Japan. I was just curious if there are a bunch of people going that route, and if there is a stateside distributor.

The part I found in the various forums is "Kyo-ei SBLC"
The holes in the wheels are only 15mm, so I don't think the ET style lugs would work.

I couldn’t really find a better spot. If I put them in the wheel wells they’d just be covered in mud. When we go out with the travel trailer I run 70psi, but then back it down to 36 once we get to the site and head out to explore. Then down to 18 for trails, and then back to 70 for towing again. So I have a LOT of up and down. Tried both a Viair portable and a CO2 tank. The single is a lot of bending over and the CO2 tank just doesn’t last long enough, although very fast.

Mainly recovery stuff, jumper cables, extra coolant, blanket, small tool set. I have another smaller case coming that I will be mounting to my roof rack for camping gear and a snatch rope.

22’ Winnebago- figure close to 8,000 fully wet and loaded. Bruizer weight is also 8,000 lbs now with front and rear steel, 34’s, sliders, armor, fridge, cargo build. Etc.
