@kcjaz would love some info on your build. Do you have a build sheet or details on your setup? I have a 14 that I’m working on.Washed by hand, clay barred, and waxed. I do this every 150k miles like clock work.

I purchased some on Amazon then drilled out holes to fit. I was looking for a three part bushing, rubber "T", rubber washer and center stela sleeve, but couldn't find in a size for 5/16"/M8 bolt so resorted to "T" bushing and a grommet to fit other side.where did you get the rubber vibration isolators? My Slee kit didn't have those.

New set of spark plugs (this is critical, see my LCDC post)
TJM T13 front bumper
Front camera relo and custom cover
Warn Zeon Platinum 12-s winch
17" ICON Six Speed Wheels
285/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs
Slee sliders
BP-51 OME suspension
Bud Built SS full skid plates with custom BB transition plate to TJM bumper
Removed rear seats - planning drawers/storage system
ARB twin air compressor - current project, not installed yet
Dissent rear bumper (on order - winter project)
Plastidip. It’s time to hit it again but it’s held up pretty good. I did it almost 3 years ago and have never touched it up.Thanks. The slee sliders are on the top of my list. Did you wrap, paint or plastidip for your chrome delete?
What did the actual intake tube look like? Lots of reports of stock air boxes leaking allowing dirt and debris to make it into the actual engine. Sometimes leading to complete engine failure. That sand amount is not inconsequential. This week I finally mounted the manufacturer's snorkel that had been sitting in my buddy's garage since he bought it in 2008.
A really crappy job after the original snorkel no drilling templates can be found. Just roughly drill somewhere and cut, hold, cut further, etc..
Then the self-tapping screws have not held so I had to pull rivet nuts. But these were on the A pillar etc ... a neat fun. In the end, I have again sealed everything with Sikaflex.
Today I changed the cabin air filter and again blew a bunch of sand from various corners of the car - if your car was once in the Sahara then you have to get used to the fact that the sand will be a constant companion. Forever!

It was absolutely clean. What did the actual intake tube look like? Lots of reports of stock air boxes leaking allowing dirt and debris to make it into the actual engine. Sometimes leading to complete engine failure. That sand amount is not inconsequential.
Good to hear. Reports of gas 3UR and diesel 4.5 with dust making it past the filter all over the world. It was absolutely clean.
The filter fits exactly and the lid of the box closes well.
Perhaps the cases with dirt in the intake have not used suitable filters? With the dirt I have blown out of the filter (half the garden was orange from sand dust) compared to the top cover which was sparkling clean, my filter from Herth+Buss probably works quite well.

Just covers the original painted aluminum fake bead lock? Interesting idea. Wonder how tough they are. I am always beating mine up and getting shiny silver gouges that I keep painting with POR chassis paint. I would think the plastic would gouge and scratch but at least would stay black. What do you guys think about the new plastic rock rings from ICON? Showed up today, little undecided if it looks better or not.
