This project is on our dream list. We had started getting quotes for the detached garage but the lumber prices were too crazy so we decided our big yearly project would be painting the exterior of the house instead… so lame in comparison but there’s always next year.

Yes. We have been in this house for almost 15 years and I have wanted this since day 1. Living on a hill makes any kind of building expensive, but we finally bit the bullet. I'm waiting on lumber to fall a bit more before we build the garage. They are predicting significant decreases over the next year. In the meantime, we have a great parking spot.

I hear the lumber mills have acres and acres of product ready to go, they just don't want to release it so they can sell more at the inflated price as long as they can. I also live on a mountainside. It has it's benefits, but it's a pain when you want to build something.
It is working fine so far. I added the diode in place of the sense-line fuse to increase the charging voltage. I also have a voltage/USB plug in the 12V socket in the dash to keep an eye on it. Depending on the temperature, etc it varies from the high 13s to low 14s. You can see the details here: Super-Sized Starting Battery - https://backroadtrail.com/blog/super-sized-starting-battery/
Yeah, they had the grey too and that is what I saw previously used for this. Home depot is not great with stock. Lowes didn't have anything. The first Depot I went to didn't have the black, but another did. It's the same manufacturer and they were right next to each other.
The black is also not as ribbed looking as that grey is. More uniform. But I imagine the grey hides the staples better.
Still, I am happier with the color match on the black than I ever would have been with the grey.
Washed and sealed again. Applied this stuff (soft99 fusso) back in october and was surprised at how long it lasted. 8 months isn't bad for a vehicle that sits outside 100% of the time in south texas sun.
Stopped it from burning to the ground at a gas station...switchpros panel under hood went freaking bonkers...small arcing and enough smoke from under the hood to cause the guy next to me to haul ass from the pump with the nozzle still in his tank...I got it shut down and disconnected from post on switch pros...wires so hot I had to use a tool to break it loose...only then did anything connected to switch pros turn off...end result...saved truck without damage to Toyota systems but, but she went to the shop...horrible Pic but I was not thinking about framing.
