Nice looking rig! What is that I spy in the garage with the coil spring rear suspension?
Built 40, sprung over up front, coils in the rear with triangulated 4link

I put her to the test.. saw a broken down semi on the road near my house. Grabbed the 200 and pulled him about 1/4 to a safe spot so he wasn't in the road. Said he had about 20k load left since he dropped half it off.
4lo 1st gear and RPM at 1400 and she just walked the semi up. Slight incline too, enough to pull me back when he let off the brakes.

Finally got around to piecing together a hoist to lift the rooftop tent off the LC. Took way longer with more trips to the hardware store and swearing that it should have but it'll do

for 1st gen design.

Nice work, with 20,000 lbs of cargo left that means you towed about 35,000 lbs! Candidate for those old tundra commercials from a decade ago where it pulled the space shuttle though the City.

What did you use for the recovery points and gear?

That was my thought lmao! Toyota pulled a space shuttle with the Tundra so what's a semi.
I had a kinetic rope that's rated for 50k, use a hitch d ring on my end, and wrapped a tow strap multiple times around his axle and had another d ring on that to the kinetic rope.
I kept my speed real slow because I was scared of the weak points being my hitch receiver or the strap I had on his axle

Completed a front end refresh on the LX last week, struts/mounts/end links/fluid etc. She's set for awhile, but also added a rear cargo light I'm a big fan of already. This headlamp has a mount for hard hats, I just bought an extra strap/mount and trimmed the edges flush. It charges via USB-C and has a super wide throw. I keep a headlamp in the rear tailgate storage for walking the pup at night when we're out camping or in the mountains, and this was a great way to dual purpose it.

Nice little Wknd for the truck. Kaon shelf went in (it's great) and ordered some Baja Designs LP6 Pro lights for the stock front bumper. My favorite mechanics, who sorted my Jeep, are gonna make a little bracket and mount them up so they flank the Yota symbol on the grill.

Wah wah wee wah, like very much extra lighting and storage for the truck.

Been lurking for awhile here as I researched and eventually purchased my first Land Cruiser, a 2011.

Here's a pic from right before driving off the lot:

And here's a pic after a bunch of modifications over the past two weeks. Running OME 2703s up front, with an Ironman bumper, Smittybuilt X2O 12k winch, and Budbuilt rock sliders. Tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers, which have served me really well on previous vehicles. I love how this build is coming along so far—Dobinson drawers should arrive on Friday, along with OME 2723s for the rear. GROM Vline will be here in a few weeks. Eventually planning to add an ARB bumper and an as-yet-undecided roof rack; those upgrades will probably happen around March. Until then I couldn't be happier with this setup.

Is that the Premium or Standard Ironman bumper?
Looks great!

That's the standard - the premium bar makes a slight turn-in where it attaches to the bumper

That Ironman bumper looks sharp. Are you saying you'll be replacing it with an ARB? As someone looking into bumpers myself, I'm curious as to your thoughts between the two.

Correct, it's the standard—the cheaper of the two haha.

Nah, must've miss-typed that. An ARB will replace the rear bumper eventually. I purchased the truck with a little bit of cosmetic damage to the rear bumper, and that combined with a desire to have some additional protection has led me to plan the upgrade to steel in the back as well as the front.

My goal with this build is to find budget-friendly aftermarket parts that still provide top or near top-end performance for a do-it-all truck that's both a daily driver and adventure rig. That's the reasoning behind the Ironman vs ARB front bumpers. From what I've seen (and exhaustively read) the Ironman bumper will perform sufficiently for my needs at a significantly lower price tag than the ARB. Same logic applies to the winch and suspension choices.

Thanks all for the compliments! This is my first time doing any real aftermarket modifications on a vehicle, and this forum has been an invaluable resource as I've educated myself. Also big thanks to @Taco2Cruiser and @ga12r1 for their advice on parts selection, and tons of other users here for the build inspirations.

Decided to shed some weight today and modify my exhaust using my "semi" old JDM exhaust I had laying around. Curious what it'll sound like.. definitely will be a little louder than stock given the muffler size, which I won't mind (as long as I don't hear a drone). Wish I could use both resonators, but am going to have to eliminate one if I keep the same OEM design. Worse case, I'll take a resonator off each bank straight into the Y pipe down to a single and out the back (if that will even make a difference). I'll most likely cut the end tip off and throw on a downturn OEM style tip on there...just not today.

Edit: Exhaust complete. Very subjective, but it sounds so much better than stock, barely noticeable unless you hammer down on the gas pedal. I saved roughly 20lbs, and gained some ponies according to the butt dyno. Throttle response is definitely noticable. No need for the 2nd resonator. I'll post a clip and some pictures at some point.
