Its going to look like you got another 2” of lift! The factory steps hang so dang low.

Indeed. I had a few scars on my stock steps. Measured about a 1.5" difference of added clearance underneath which is just dandy as I rather not have contact to begin with.

Quite impressed with the overall production quality and fitment of the Slee sliders. Well engineered and top notch. Evident in things like the design of each slider leg, and how a vertical moment load path is engineered to channel through the stiffest slider mount that is located at frames transmission cross member, rather than less reinforced parts of the frame, to manage potential twisting in a hit. Seemed pricey to begin with but the value is all there IMO.

So... the Cruiser is a lot faster than my Wrangler was. Having owned a Valentine years ago, I'm stoked on new radar cost and performance. Has yet to false alert even in town and gives a crazy amount of warning (Uniden R1/R3 - cheap-ish on Amazon). Had the mirrortap ($14) run into the overhead console. Went with the cheap rearview mirror mount ($35) but have a blendmount (#$%*) on order (little cleaner, little more adjustable). Comes off easy, no bounce, and pays for itself avoiding one ticket. With a 72 hr rndtrp in Dec - January, felt fiscally irresponsible not to....

Bought a very unique travel trailer today. Erwin Hymer Touring GT. Pop top for 6’5” of inside height, while closed its only 7’4” and will fit into my garage.

Short king size main bed, dinette turns into another small bed. Wet bath, toilet, a/c, furnace, etc.

All fibreglass construction with aluminum framing inside walls. Galvanized tongue. 2480lbs dry.

Will be lifting this thing pretty much instantly, and getting rid of that rake. Will start a new build thread when I get home sometime tomorrow!

Explored the first part of the Enchanted Rockies Trail. The first part of the route goes through southeastern New Mexico, ending just outside the town of Ruidoso. The views are incredible. I finally had a chance to use my RTT which is a game changer for me. Not pictured is the ARB single compressor I installed just before the trip, airing down slightly made a huge difference over the 150 miles of forest service roads. Finding camp proved to be more difficult than anticipated due to the amount of people in the area over the weekend, but we made it work.

Things that would have made the trip more enjoyable:
1. The third row seat just plain get in the way. A better storage solution would be great.
2. I miscalculated the fuel consumption with the RTT and had a bit of a fuel scare that resulted in us turning around to fuel back up. Jerry can or aux tank have moved up the list of future mods.
3. Memory foam on top of the mattress in the tent would make just about perfect, easy fix.

Just working on 5 tire rotation. Saw this on driver side... i do have the front spacers but didn't expect them to fold over like this. Passenger side isn't nearly as bad.
I was hoping to figure out what was causing a squeak around 15mph and 30-35mph that sounds rotational, but instead found this.

Those are not the OEM front spacers - do you know which aftermarket spacers they are?

That's what I want to know too.. because I ordered the factory front spacers and gave those with the OME suspension to the shop back when I had the lift installed.. When I saw it folded like that today I didn't remember the factory spacer being a soft compound like that.

I kind of wish I paid more attention to this beginning of the year when I got the lift installed and really inspected everything

Here's what the OEM spacers look like:

They are flat and made out of metal.

The installed spacers you have pictured are obviously some kind of soft material (rubber, polymer, ???) with an extension that goes down inside the top of the springs - in short, they look nothing like the OEM spacers.

I think you need to have a serious talk with your installer.

Yea what you posted is exactly what I remember ordering and handing over to them

Wow.
Like Gaijin said... Serious talk time. Show them the photo of the spacers from this thread because it makes it obvious they didn’t use the spacers you provided.

Honestly, they should order the Toyota spacers and do the re-work for you without further charges. Such a clear screwup. Any self-respecting shop certainly would/should.

So there is a spacer above that I went back out and felt around above that rubber piece as I was talking to the shop, and sent the picture. Looks to be the coil isolator is what I have posted the picture of. Regardless I will be interested to find out what made this happen. The passenger side is starting to fold and be compressed as well

Regarding the presence of the Toyota spacer, this is from Rob the other day:
"You can quickly tell with a 14mm socket. If a normal 14mm 3/8” drive socket can fully seat on the top hat nuts... you have a front spacer.

If you need a mid depth 14mm socket... you do not have a spacer. "

I was more so feeling above to make sure the metal factory spacer was there and not more rubber.

Oh, almost forgot. Got new tires today too. Old 295/70/18 on the left new 285/75/18 on the right.
