A few things from the last few weeks:

1) Installed the Prestigious Society DVD Nav override. Works as advertised.
The truck spends most of its it as a mall cruiser, so it is great to be able to enter address, etc. while driving around town, without having too get out the ram mounts and larger devices. Cleaner design - short of the replacing the whole head unit. If I know I need offroad maps and radio, then the gadgets come out. Right now I have the Ram ball mount in the front left grab bar and the inflatable ram mount for between the console and seat. At some point, I would like to get the part numbers on trim pieces around the ashtray and drill in mounts. I feel like I need a back out plan before getting out the drill.

2) Tough Dog Lift
Gained about 2 to 2.5 inches all around. (now I need to weight it down... )
Excellent customer service from Trail Tailor.
Torfab did an excellent job. No lean. I was going to get SPC upper control arms. But they came in a day late and I needed the truck back. Torfab was able to get the truck into factor spec without them. 2000+ miles later, still drives straight at speed and under quick acceleration. I'll continue to check for tire wear. Now I am not sure if I need them... I had airbags in the stock coils, so as @linuxgod did, I ordered the taller firestones and had airbags put back in. When towing the tongue weight is probably only 425lbs. Next time I tow, I'll try without any air in the bags to get a better feel of the coils.

3) Trip to Capital Reef and Maze district of Canyonlands
2000+ miles of pavement, 100+ miles of gravel, and unfortunately only 20+ miles of 4x4 trails. We stayed at Panorama Point in the Maze district for one night. The suspension/truck did great with 4 adults and two kids. At every obstacle, it seemed like I would get out and analyze the tracks of those before me. Zig zag here, avoid this, wheel here.... Got back in the truck and drove straight up the middle.
A moment of Sunshine overlooking the valley (after the hail and before the wind)

Hmm.... No guard rails at the edge of this campsite.

4) Bud Built Stage 3 AL is sitting in the garage.... I was not able to install before the trip, but hope to get them on in the next few weeks and get some more off road time. Maybe they will protect my alternator when I follow @tbisaacs (I'll own him a beer for that comment)...
Nice post, which Tough Dog set up did you go with? Also, are you able to watch Movies on the front screen?

Took inspiration from the Slee LX!

I did this ~1100 mile epic trip to the desert and Cruise Moab with my wife and 18 year old daughter.

Love this, Jeff!!!

And...thank you for your leadership in the highly-modified Kokopelli plan this last week. Everyone had a great time despite the weather’s lack of cooperation.

Thanks @Markuson, it was good to meet you and the rest of the crew. I look forward to future trips! The absence of APRS points in the Dome Plateau area is pretty obvious. We need another digi-peater in that area!

I went with the 45mm front and back. I wanted the ability to adjust the compression/rebound. Stiffer for towing and softer for off-road. Gold/Yellow coils 0 to 660lbs. At some point I plan to get a front winch. Posts from others have more details on the spring weights and settings.

Yes, you can watch movies while driving on the front screen, just like sitting in park with the parking brake on.

@Eisbaer I have the same setup with a steel bumper and winch and I'm very happy with the handling. With sliders, front bumper+winch, and roof rack I run with the compression at 4 and I'm very happy. I'll tighten the rear up a bit to 5 or 6 when towing on very long trips because I have a TW close to 800# and a family of 5.

About to embark on this install, any chance you remember what size ratchet

I did it myself. It wasn’t terrible, just time consuming. Lots of little issue ate me up today like poor housekeeping. I had one of the lollipop nuts fall into the frame, but it was easy to fish out with a flat tip screw driver and a neodymium magnet.

Krylon Tough Rust Enamal semi-gloss is nearly a perfect match to BB’s powder coat. A floor jack and jack stands are a must if you’re doing it alone. There’s also a couple really tight places on the driver side where a box-end ratchet wrench was very useful.

12mm and 13mm on the box-end ratchets. 12mm for OEM, and the BB replacement bolts are 13mm.

The mounting bolts were either 22mm or 24mm. I didn't any issues getting a 1/2" drive socket wrench against any of those bolts. I did have issues getting the bolts to thread on the nuts with the lock washers on. I would use one bolt per end, usually one that fed straight through the frame without a lock nut to pull the slider tightly against the frame. Then start bolting it down with all the hardware, R&R the bolts without the lock washers with all the hardware.

ordered the switch-pro from poly performance - wiring is super easy. hardest part of making everything fit was cutting the acrylic sheet to size and cutting away parts of the ashtray to make room. I can take some pictures of the setup if you want

Yeah, pic's would be awesome!

Put on Spidertrax 1.25 inch spacers that I ordered from Slee.... Running 285/65/18 Goodyear Ultraterrains on stock wheels. Had to remove mud flaps and do some heat gun reshaping on the front edge of front wheel well... Was no rubbing before spacers at all. Wheels are flush with fenders now and I love the look. Pretty happy with the result and the installation was easy.

The grill looks great. How did you do it?

Finished the 35s install. Started with 4.88s last month.

Minimal trimming required. No body chop required.

275/80r18 measures 35 1/8 mounted. 35mm effective offset.

The chrome parts actually come off of the main grille assembly. I took those off, sanded everything down with 400 grit wet paper then sprayed 5 coats of SEM trim and bumper black paint on them. I left the gray parts as they were so it's not ALL blacked out and I think it turned out pretty good. Feel free to PM me if you want any more details.

Recieved more necessary protection for the rig. Trail Tailor rear LCA skids and rear shock guards. That was ridiculous quick shipping. I only ordered these the other day! Didn't expect them this quick which was a nice surprise!
