Installed my ch4x4 switches and ARB twin air compressor
I thought if you ran the twin air like that, it would melt the plastic hose. I was planning on running a little length of steel braided line to an accessible spot on the truck somewhere to keep from melting that hose.

For cruiser upgrades, got the prinsu all dialed in and the ARB skid on. Slee sliders are next week. Really liked and wanted the metal tech ones but shipping of 350 killed that deal.

Long story but ended up getting an unexpected new set of tires then immediately heading to the mountains... They're the new Goodyear Ultraterrains from Discount Tire and I'm actually really impressed. 285/65/18's on stock rims, no spacers and zero rubbing at all even with moderate articulation. Very happy so far, but we'll see about longevity

Man, what have I been thinking all these years wrecking my shoulders, arms and knees—cranking every bolt by hand??? (Specifically the left 1/2” unit...)

And...why didn’t God just create these back when we got other fragile stuff like arms & hands?? :hillbilly:

The Milwaukees are nice. I keep the 1/2 impact in my truck. Smart purchase @Markuson

I have purchased well over 15 of those bad boys for my crews. After breaking the anvils on the 1/2" models, we now run the 3/4" one key models with 1200ft-lbs fastening and 1500ft-lbs loosening torque. They are some great tools.

Yup. I carry the Makita version of that in my truck daily. It has come in handy several times. No more dragging air hoses around the garage for this guy!

Those look a little low on air, are you running the recommended 42psi?

Actually didn't check them until you asked since I made the rookie mistake of thinking the tire shop put the right amount of air in them... Won't make that mistake again.
But you're right, they were all 38-40... I'll throw a couple more pounds in them. Thanks @gaijin !

One less piece of faux-wood.... And I really like the feel of the leather. I may take the guts out of of the old one and see if I can fab one that I like better.
I think I posted this here several months ago, but I replaced the worn-out faux wood with some genuine African blackwood.

This is what it looks like when you pry off the 'wood' insert. It is glued in place, with some tabs/slots as a mechanical joint. Yeah, I broke thoser tryingo get it off. So I trimmed it all flush with a chisel.

Turned out better than I expected. For now it is just in there with a friction fit. Eventually I may epoxy it in place.

Wow I hadn't seen that. But as a fellow woodworker that looks really good. Nice work

Re-charged my AC system using the "AC Pro" 20 oz can from Autozone, ~$50. I assume there is a leak somewhere, not sure how long it will last. The gauge on the can said it was completely empty, 0 psi.. got it up to roughly 20 psi, could use more, but its in the acceptable range according to the re-charge kit.
Any common failure modes for the AC on this URJ200? Not many threads.
The service port Schrader Valves are common to leak. Make sure and replace them and never use any cans that say “with sealant”. Sealant is the devil... look for any oil or wet around all of the A/C components and lines. O-rings are common failures as well.

30K oil, tire rotation, drive shaft u joint grease.

Too late, they all have sealants!
Well, the ones at Autozone at least. I also dropped my schrader valve cover... So I've got THAT going for me as well...

Oh crap... Not good. If you need direction I can have a phone conversation with you. Just PM me. Cover is no big deal. The sealant blows. :( Sadly, some of the people selling these products have no clue that Sealant was actually designed as a temporary fix for cheesy used car dealerships. Sealant can be dealt with but, new parts and a proper Flush is the only permanent remedy.

First time i hear this. Do you know why they say it would melt the hose? Is it the heat from the engine bay? Heat fron the compressor?

Installed a review mirror with dash cam and reverse camera. Didn't want to tear into the cruiser and splice wires to relocate the stock reverse camera. So far no complaints.

Brand?
