If I end up heading down to SD, I’ll let you know but it’s not on the docket currently.

OK. Would be great to get ahold of those before Cruise Moab in a couple weeks. Thanks again!

Did like some other folks on here and put on a leather steering wheel cover. Was a bit of pain and took over two hours, but now that it is on, I’m glad I did it.

Also changed my rear springs from 2722s to 2723s. Dang that passenger side is a pain in arse.

Nice job. Mine took me longer than that, but it's worth the effort.

Just FYI... If yours feels a little slick at first, give it time. It definitely feels better after being broken in over time--sort of like how baseballs are rubbed down before every big league game by the umpires. Leather starts to feel much more grippy. Very happy with mine after a couple months post-install.

Maybe this might help? :D

Finally got my new wheels and tires delivered today. Got a good deal on BFG KO2 285/75r17 from 4 wheel parts, so I also order the Icon Six Speed wheels from them and had them mounted and balanced for cheap. Well after a 3 week wait they show up packaged great. But when I unwrapped the pallet and looked at the wheels each one was damaged, which means it happened in the shop before they shipped them. Hope to have a deal worked out today so I can get them mounted.

Those are good looking wheels!

Weighed by new project LC200, Standard, manual transmission, 4.0 V6, No options at all, no sunroof no rear ac. Project lightweight. By far the best handling I ever experienced in the desert.

Stock weight on a full tank of fuel 2450 = 5401.325 LB. Time to strip it.

Weight distribution is almost 50/50, thats probably why it handles jumps very well. Just getting started :D

I had this exact combo in my cart when they were doing the sale a few weeks ago, but I ended up going stock wheels with Ridge Grapplers. I remember the Icon/KO2 combo was an extremely good deal though.

Wow! That is incredibly light compared to US spec!! Way more weight saving than I would have guessed.

Yes sir, it is because it has no features at all. Smaller engine. 4.0 V6 same as the 4runner. smaller powertrain and drivetrain. Rides so much better then the luxurious model due to the lighter weight. Even with stock shocks. My jaw dropped.

Our 5.7 is just as heavy as the US models, probably heavier because of the larger radiator.

can you snap a picture of the larger radiator on the 5.7?
ours seem to have a part number platform molded into the top, where they typically fail....would be interesting to see if we could get a larger radiator and if it has the same weak spot.

thanks

Will do bro, do you have any idea what makes the cruiser heavy? Since a shift from a 5.7 v8 to a 4.0 V6 was not a significant weight reduction I believe its the chassis being very thick. Steel and what not. Whats your take?

The full size tundra was based off the 200 series frame. The 200 series is 18% stiffer than the tundra. That's a lot of steel going into cross members and stiffening plates. It is a fully boxed frame with a wheel base of 112" (285 cm) stainless double wall exhaust thicker windshield thicker metal and sound deadening to keep the interior as luxurious as possible
Not an abundance of high tech weight saving materials used on this thing. Built for durability and longevity.
