what does your wife say about your hobbies and the amount of garage space you require? lol
I admire your selection and collection of gear - kudos

My wife shakes her head, but she has her own toys as well.

I posted this in the picture thread as well.

I just bought a complete set of rock warriors from a member here including spare and trd lug nuts. Drove 10 hrs to get them. What do you guys think? Each wheel/tire combo is only about 7 pounds heavier than the stock LX wheels. I thought the weight penalty would've been way more so I'm happy about that.

Nice Mud-Terrains - what size are they?

What would you recommend tire pressure to be for these tires? They're currently at 39psi.

The recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the LT285/70R17/D 121 Q Mud-Terrains is 40psi Front/Rear.

One word of caution: Because these tires have a Speed Rating of "Q" the maximum allowable vehicle speed is only 99mph. Obviously not a big deal around town, but on the highway speeds in these luxury vehicles tend to creep up pretty easily so it is wise to pay attention.

Thanks for the heads up. I usually don't do more than 85mph on the Highway with the truck, but it's good to know. With these tires I'll probably only do 75 - 80 mph at most.

Found a new use for the bumper, made my poor kid do school work in the middle of nowhere and enjoyed some beautiful scenery.

Oooo - that grill looks really nice! Did you do it yourself or pull it and have it done?
Thanks, I had it done. He did it right on the truck, could of been neater with it if he had taken it off (Same with the rear) but it came out good. Even the wife liked it. I wound up getting it for free because he messed up my headlight (I had them both professionally re done to remove the haze.)

Where is the extinguisher mounted and with what bracket? It looks nice and secure.

Since getting my '08 home, it has been brought to my attention at least once that I am the only one in my immediate family over 5'4" tall, and it is tough for them to get into the lifted truck. Apparently the ~19" step height to the Slee Sliders is too high for the vertically challenged.

So I added these steps. Carr Hoop II XP3 (103991). They are designed to screw into the body and pinch weld, but I mounted it to the Slider. I drilled and tapped the 'inside' of the slider's 2"x3" rail for each of the mounting brackets. Bought some stainless bolts and lock washers, and added some blue Loctite for peace of mind.

The steps are pretty easy to remove/reinstall from the brackets for my (unfortunately very infrequent) off-road excursions. And the brackets are pretty tucked up out of the way.

Time will tell if this will calm the villagers.

For anyone looking to buy an air compressor, I had this in my cart to buy later and just happened to look at it today and it said this "$43.34 extra savings coupon applied at checkout." First time ever seeing that before.

Sooo I ordered for $75. Not the most powerful portable compressor but it'll work and it's a Viair not some Harbor Fraught nonsense. The advertisement says "up to 31s" but the Heep guys say it's decent enough for 35s. YMMV

Good find, and probably more than enough compressor for the money, so I just bought mine. Thanx.

Nice find! I have the 450P and 88P (in my little sister's Jeep now), and they're both excellent compressors. It's hard to go wrong with Viair, and at that price it's a steal. I'd definitely buy it if I had any need for another!
