Got some time this evening after taking the kids to the stock show and I think it came out pretty well:)

Without hoops

Looks killer - doesn't look like a blinged out LX any more for sure! I like the hoopless look personally, however the hoop would look a bit better if it was painted black. Just my opinion though - regardless looks so much better than stock!

Thanks. Yes not a fan of the shiny hoop but may paint it black or body matched silver. Also the grille will be getting de-chromed soon.

That looks great, Ali.

Didn't see it in the post - which ARB model is it? Slee - Toyota 200 Series Land Cruiser Front Bumpers Also, were any modifications required to fit it? Thanks!

Its actually a bumper from Dobinson. @crikeymike was great to work with and had it out here pretty quick. Only modification the bumper needed was the holes at the bottom of the brace that attach to where the recovery points are need to be enlarged for them to line up. This may be an LC vs. LX thing as these bumpers are theoretically make for the LC and not the LX. Everything else lined up fine and bolted right on. I do need to drill some holes in the bumper for my parking sensors but ran out of time. On the car side really just cutting my bumper and wheel liners which after measuring a few times was also pretty easy with one of those oscillating multi tools.

better shot from just now.

Even my wife liked it.
That is the true sign of accomplishment in life!!! hahahaha

The bumper looks great man. It's a polished stainless steel one piece upper tube section guys, so it definitely could be painted if desired. We offer a plug kit to fill the holes if the tube is removed (it's not structural, just for looks really). I was wondering about the tubes blocking the headlights or turn signals, but from these photos, it looks good to me.

Thanks, the tubes only block some light from the side but nothing that bad.
Here's a head on shot:

Decided to go with the TOYOTA front emblem...
(posted also to Photo thread...)

Attached with zip-ties though, so no Dremeling of the grill. Means I could still play around with the TEQ logo just to confuse people...

Here it is mounted in FLAT black instead of the Piano black it was...

Ordered a connector and techstream software, which came in today. Installed it correctly, hooked it up to my 2016 LC and successfully turned off my seatbelt alarm on first try.

I hate the alarm. I wear my seatbelt in all but the shortest island drives but hate that thing when I'm backing a boat or off of the pavement.

I had my first professional dealing with @crikeymike and Dobinsons 4x4, and I'm very impressed.

It's small project, but Mike went out of his way to assure my purchase arrived in time to install it before my trip next week to White Sands.

So ... what did I get?

I installed Dobinsons Fridge Slide for 30/40/50L fridges on my FrontRunner drawers. Here's what it looks like installed and stowed with my Igloo Supertough STX54qt cooler:

It's a full slide-out slide. This means that the cooler slides out the full length of the fridge/cooler. As a side benefit with my FrontRunner drawers, the slide can be extended with the bottom half of the tailgate closed:

The slide locks securely in the fully closed position (no rattles whatsoever), halfway open and fully open positions. Construction is very solid.

The slide can be purchased on Amazon here: Amazon.com: Dobinsons 4x4 Universal Fridge Slide to suit 30, 40 & 50L Fridges, Includes Straps: Automotive

Or better yet, PM @crikeymike and he'll set you up.

Dobinsons and Mike will be at the top of my list for future purchases.

I'm liking the frontrunner drawers and slide combo. Especially cool how you can keep the gate closed and still slide out the tray. Do you have any more pics of the frontrunner drawers/install? I'm guessing the seats folded down aren't flush with the top of the drawers? Are the sides also pockets?

Sorry for all the Qs I'm looking at buying drawers next.

Edit: Nevermind, just saw your thread on these. A few more pics would be awesome though :)

I noticed that too. It's a trade-off... My ARB drawers are shorter, meaning less capacity...BUT...their height makes them essentially even with the second row folded down, which makes a continuous floor--all the way from the back window, to the back of the front seats. This means plenty of length for my 6'3" self to sleep...and also accommodate long cargo. So... I do see the benefit of taller drawers of the FrontRunner drawers...but I'd hate to give up the ease of creating the huge, long, flat surface with drawers/seat combo.

Anyway... Just food for thought as you think about it... ;)

Feedback welcome:

Magnetic Grey LC...trying to decide what to put on the grill.

I painted the black grill matte black (my result shown below)..which I like better than the shiny, piano black that it is by default.

Now trying to decide what to put on it:

Old Standard...my first choice...might darken to grey:

REALLY Old Standard:

Or red...as I have other red accents here and there (TRD is red on RW wheels, recovery points, maxxtrax are red, etc.)

Hmmm....

What do you think?

I went ahead and installed the grill with the TOYOTA, but with zip-ties...so I can change the emblem. Zip-ties work GREAT, by the way. I remember others having trouble with screw backing coming loose, and Dremel work, etc. I just cut off the screw bumps in the back, and it's quite secure. I don't think anyone will notice the two zip-ties...

Love the Big BOLD TOYOTA!
