A little spit and shine with my crew. Getting ready for our trip to the San Juans with some of the fellows from the Colorado Land Cruisers.

Today....All I did was pressure wash the engine compartment and under the the LC as much as I could. did the wheel wells and brakes ect... I could see that the 2 small rack & pinion rubber mounts looked torn/worn so ordered some new ones... easy fix while the engine is out... since I ordered new shocks I tried to pressure wash all those areas... cleaned the garage while I had it pulled out for the wash... (my 11yo pulling me around with his ATV) got the old engine on the engine stand and shot penetrating oil on all the exhaust bolts... I don't expect my new (111k 4runner) engine until late in the week... maybe all the parts will show up in the order they are needed...

Yah, I'm going to let it settle then check heights again before having the alignment checked this week.

I just put in an Arb twin air pump with the Torfab bracket. Super nice! Super clean! Super simple to install. I used the switch for the rear side window to tie my hot lines into and it worked well. I aired down and did some wheeling today and was amazed at how much of a difference airing down changed traction. Then I filled the tires back up and was then impressed with how fast it aired back up. I am pretty jazzed right now. I ordered some white knuckle sliders today too

OME 865s, slee diff drop, spc UCA, torsion bar crank, fox 2.0 on all four corners.

Replaced windshield via safelite lifetime warranty.

Took out (most of) the XM radio the PO had installed.

Front Runner Rack and Front Runner 2M Awning.

If you are interested in this rack I'm selling it. Bought it in April. Swapping to a longer system.
Is this the 1 piece version or the new modular version? Which system are you planning to go with? Price?

@TwiceWithHair Can you post some pics of your LC? I want to do similar lift on mine. Does it sit stink bug? How does it ride? Also, what particular Fox 2.0 shocks did you buy? I see on 4wheelparts.com they have several different versions that have different extended/collapsed numbers. Thanks for any info.

Finally installed my ARB compressor. Will have to remount it when I go back to factory airbox, but for now, it fits with no clearance issues.

My brother had his AHC removed after it went out a few months back. The shop that removed it replaced the springs, and the shocks with Bilsteins, and then cranked the AHC bars(fail #1). He was complaining about the front end being a low rider and some clunking in the rear and it riding poorly.
I climbed underneath for a peek, and saw the AHC t-bars and Bilsteins and recommended that he was going to need, at the very least, some non-AHC t-bars. It very quickly escalated from that to OME bars, OME 860s, Fox 2.0s, Slee Diff Drop, SPC arms, 295 BFG KO-1s, and a Sahara bumper. Luckily, we were able to borrow the lift at a friend's shop, but as soon as we put her up in the air, we found the clunk....

The whole install went quite smoothly, even with someone with limited wrenching experience.

We left it at my friend's shop for the alignment, and he should be picking it up today....I'm sure he'll be calling me for bumper install help soon.

Installed my $114 eBay snorkel and switched out the power antenna for a tundra whip style( I still need to get the antenna). The quality and fit are very good for the price! There are a few minor blemishes but nothing real noticeable. We will see how it holds up over time. And one thing this has that the arb doesn't, is the antenna cut out. I normally don't like buying knock offs but some things are just way over priced for what you get.
What size are those Toyo's?

New springs are actually shorter, but stiffer.

Lifted.

I haven't driven much yet. Tags are expired and I still need an alignment.

I'll take plenty of pictures next week once my 295/65/18 duratracs go on.

Your truck will stink bug as much/little as you ask it to with a few cranks of the torsion bars. I was lucky and did NOT have to reindex my torsion bars to achieve height I wanted. Center of hub to fender I am 21 7/8" rear and 21 1/4" in front. From the limited driving I've done so far, I like the ride a lot. The front is a little softer than the rear as I kept the stock torsion bars. Steering (pre alignment) doesn't pull to either side or "wander" on the highway. So far my thoughts are "I did it right." Time will tell for sure, but I'm stoked on my setup right now.

If only I were legal...

@TwiceWithHair Awesome. Thanks so much for sharing. I think I'm going to go this route also. After hearing all the griping about the hard ride with the OME shocks, I've been looking at other solutions. Your method is looking more and more of the right solution for me. Thanks again.
