Lucky me - getting a new alternator. Had a high pitched whine when I cranked up this am. Drove it on in to work. Battery light came on at lunch. Drove it straight to the shop. Should be good to go tomorrow.

Installed insane depo lights. What a difference. Thank u!!

Nice. Where is that located?

under the glove box, remove the 3 retaining screws on the round black enclosure and it drops down with the fan so you can clean it out, very easy job. (A/C was making card in bicycle spoke sounds at the highest level).

Very easy, 5-10 minutes, tools were a skinny flat head to get the 3 screws out, headlight lamp to see the back screw and shop-vac to clean up. Only hard part is contorting your back on the passenger door sill to get to that back screw.

CV axle boot job. What do you think about the ball bearing that has scars? I haven't had any problems with it yet. It is only one of the balls on the inner axle joint.

I'm finally finding the time to post this, but the work went down last Saturday. My initial intention was to simply put in the new Depo lights, but once I had things apart it seemed to be time for fresh paint on the grill and that turned in to painting the lower valance as well. I'm really happy with how it came out. Here's the pics:

All torn down and ready for Duplicolor Bedliner (tired of redoing plastidip, plus I like the slight texture):

The grill and valance came out great:

Some close-ups of the fogs and headlights:

And it all looks great lit up!

Here's the output, just lows:

I still have to wire up the LEDs in the new fog housings. I'm thinking to wire them to the turn signals, but I'll decide on that soon when I have the time to do it. Many thanks to @ranma21, I really love it and the wait was well worth it.

Thank you on the AC instructions.

Not yet. On the to do list.

This.....finally!

After sitting in boxes on the garage floor for about 8 months, they're finally going on, along with Slee brake line extensions.

UPDATE: drove 90 miles home following install. Unbelievable improvement in ride quality on soft setting. Wouldn't say it was as good as the OEM suspension, but very noticeably softer than than the OME. Haven't had time yet to play with the settings but looking forward to "dialing it in".

S/C FJ. The owner is installing the shocks. I asked him if he was sure it was ok for me to drive it and he said, "Well, I do have your land cruiser!" I'm sitting by the window and watching it like a hawk!

ironic - I test drove a sc'ed one here in H-town and while it scooted like a scalded cat I could never get over the interior and lack of visibiliy..... I sure hope toyota finally comes back out with a rig to compete with the jeep world...
